Unveiling the Greatest Deception part IV. The Removal of Yahuah’s Name from Yahusha’s Name Was a Deceptive Move
The alteration and removal of Yahuah’s Name from Yahusha’s Name was not an accidental translation issue—it was a deliberate act of deception. The enemy has worked through scribes, religious leaders, and political rulers to erase the connection between the Father and the Son, cutting off the true identity of the Messiah and leading people to unknowingly call upon a name that does not hold the power of salvation.
This historical corruption was prophesied in Scripture and was fulfilled through the Roman Empire, the Catholic Church, and the later evolution of the name “Jesus.”

1. The Prophetic Warnings of Name Corruption
Jeremiah 8:8 – “How do you say, ‘We are wise, and the Torah of יהוה is with us’? But look, the false pen of the scribes has worked falsehood!”
From ancient times, Yahuah warned that scribes would alter His truth—including His Name.
Isaiah 52:5-6 – “My Name is continually blasphemed every day. Therefore My people shall know My Name.”
Psalm 83:4 – “They have said, ‘Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, and let the Name of Yisra’el be remembered no more.'”
The name of Yahuah and His people was intentionally erased to break their identity.
2. Yahusha Came in His Father’s Name – But It Was Removed
John 5:43 – “I have come in My Father’s Name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.”
Yahusha’s Name (יהושע) contains יהו (Yahu), the Name of the Father, Yahuah.
Matthew 1:21 – “She shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His Name יהושע (Yahusha), for He shall save His people from their sins.”
John 17:6 – “I have revealed Your Name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world.”
If Yahusha revealed the Father’s Name, why would His own Name later be altered to remove it?
3. The Roman and Greek Suppression of the Hebrew Names
By the 2nd century, the Roman and Greek world began replacing Hebrew elements of faith with their own cultural influences. This was done for several reasons:
Greek Culture Had No Love for Hebrew Names – The Greeks and Romans saw Hebrew names as foreign and undesirable.
Greek Had No Equivalent for “Yahu” (יהו) – The Greek language had no “Y” sound, no “Sh” sound, and no way to preserve יהו (Yahu), which was the core of Yahusha’s Name.
Roman Anti-Jewish Policies – The Roman Empire, under Emperor Hadrian (135 AD), banned Hebrew names and Torah observance, forcing many Jews and early believers to adapt to Greek and Latin names.
The Rise of Hellenized Christianity – As Christianity spread into the Greek and Roman world, the Church merged Hebrew faith with pagan traditions, leading to the removal of Hebrew names.
Daniel 7:25 – “And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and intend to change appointed times and law.”
This prophecy foretold that the enemy would attempt to “change” the divine order—including names!
By the 3rd and 4th centuries, Yahusha’s true Name was almost entirely removed from common use!
4. The Catholic Church’s Role in the Name Change
The Council of Nicaea (325 AD), led by Emperor Constantine, was a major turning point in the removal of Hebrew identity from faith:
The Council forbade Hebrew practices – Sabbath and Hebrew Feasts were outlawed.
The Name Yahusha was replaced with the Greek name Iēsous – which became “Jesus” centuries later.
The Catholic Church promoted Latin names over Hebrew ones – further distancing the faith from its origins.
This was the beginning of the full transition from Yahusha to Jesus!
Zephaniah 3:9 – “For then I shall turn to the peoples a clean lip, so that they all call on the Name of יהוה, to serve Him with one accord.”
Yahuah promised to restore His Name after it had been suppressed!
5. The Final Step: The Invention of the Name “Jesus”
The Greek name Iēsous (Ἰησοῦς) was used for Yahusha in the Greek Septuagint and the New Testament, but it still did not contain Yahuah’s Name. Over time, further changes occurred:
Greek (Ἰησοῦς – Iēsous) lacked the Hebrew meaning – It did not preserve “Yahuah Saves.”
Latin (Iesus) altered the pronunciation – The Latin-speaking Church continued using Iesus.
The Letter “J” was Introduced in the 1600s – The English name “Jesus” did not exist until the 17th century!
This means that for over 1,500 years, no one called the Messiah “Jesus”!
1 Corinthians 14:33 – “For Elohim is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints.”
If Yahuah is not the author of confusion, why was the Messiah’s Name changed multiple times?
6. The Impact of the Name Change: A Disconnect from Yahuah
Hosea 4:6 – “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from serving as My priest. Since you have forgotten the Torah of your Elohim, I also forget your children.”
The removal of Yahusha’s Name severed the connection to Yahuah’s power and truth.
Exodus 23:13 – “And in all that I have said to you, take heed. And make no mention of the name of other mighty ones, let it not be heard from your mouth.”
By removing the Name Yahusha, people were unknowingly led to call upon a name that was never given by Yahuah!
7. The Restoration of the True Name in the End Times
Revelation 14:1 – “And I looked and saw a Lamb standing on Mount Tsiyon, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s Name written upon their foreheads.”
The remnant will have the Father’s Name (יהוה) restored to them—just as it was originally!
Malachi 3:16 – “Then shall those who fear יהוה speak to one another, and יהוה listen and hear, and a book of remembrance be written before Him, of those who fear יהוה, and those who think upon His Name.”
Restoring the true Name is part of preparing for the return of Yahusha HaMashiach!
Conclusion: The Name Change Was a Deliberate Deception
The removal of Yahuah’s Name from Yahusha’s Name was a calculated move by the enemy to disconnect believers from the truth.
Yahusha (יהושע) means “Yahuah Saves”—this meaning was erased.
The Roman Empire and Greek influence led to the replacement of Hebrew Names.
The Catholic Church formalized the change and removed Hebrew elements of faith.
The transition from Iēsous to Jesus was a gradual corruption over centuries.
Prophecy warns that Yahuah’s Name was removed but will be restored in the last days.
It is time to restore Yahusha’s true Name and reject the deception that has misled millions!
Return to the ancient paths—Call upon Yahusha, not a man-made name!
