THE FATHER AND THE SON
PART 14 — THE CONCLUSION
THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM
Restoring the Whole Counsel of Elohim
As we conclude this study, we return to where every biblical doctrine must both begin and end—with the whole counsel of Elohim. Throughout this series we have examined Torah, the Prophets, the Writings, and the Apostolic Witness. We have resisted the temptation to build doctrine upon isolated verses. Instead, we have allowed every witness to speak. When every witness is heard together, the result is not confusion but remarkable harmony.
This series has never been about defending a theological camp. It has never been about proving a denominational position. It has never been about forcing the Scriptures into philosophical systems developed centuries after the Apostolic age. The purpose has been far greater. It has been to restore a Hebraic understanding of the relationship between the Father and the Son as revealed by Elohim Himself.
The Scriptures reveal one Elohim.
They never reveal two gods.
They never reveal competing deities.
They never reveal divided authority.
From Bereshith to Revelation there is one eternal King, one eternal Kingdom, one eternal covenant, and one eternal purpose.
The Father is the source of that purpose.
The Son is the perfect revelation and accomplishment of that purpose.
The Ruach HaKodesh empowers, transforms, sanctifies, and prepares the people of Elohim to inherit that Kingdom.
Everything moves toward one glorious conclusion.
The restoration of all things.
Throughout this series we have also seen that the Scriptures never force us to choose between truths that Elohim has joined together.
The Father is not the Son.
The Son is not the Father.
Yet the Father and the Son are perfectly one.
The Son bears the Father’s Name.
The Son reveals the Father’s character.
The Son accomplishes the Father’s will.
The Son exercises the Father’s authority.
The Son manifests the Father’s glory.
The Son perfectly represents the Father.
None of these truths eliminate the genuine relationship revealed throughout the Scriptures.
Likewise, the Father never ceases being the Father.
He sends.
He commissions.
He anoints.
He glorifies.
He exalts.
He receives all glory through the completed work of His Son.
The Ruach HaKodesh likewise never draws attention to Himself.
He glorifies the Son.
He reveals the Father’s truth.
He empowers obedience.
He writes the Torah upon the hearts of the redeemed.
He prepares the Bride for the coming of the King.
This is the beautiful harmony revealed throughout the Four Witnesses.
Torah establishes the foundation.
The Prophets proclaim the coming Kingdom.
The Writings reveal covenant wisdom and worship.
The Apostolic Witness declares the fulfillment of everything promised through Yahusha the Messiah.
There is no contradiction.
There is no confusion.
There is only progressive revelation.
One of the greatest lessons this study should leave with us is the importance of allowing Scripture to define our theology instead of allowing theology to define Scripture.
Far too often believers begin with a system.
Then they search for verses to support it.
The Hebraic method does exactly the opposite.
It begins with the written Word.
It gathers every witness.
It studies every context.
It follows every covenant thread.
It allows Scripture to interpret Scripture.
Only then does it arrive at a conclusion.
That approach protects us from error.
It protects us from traditions that cannot withstand the whole counsel of Elohim.
It protects us from philosophical systems that ask questions the Scriptures themselves never ask.
Most importantly, it keeps our eyes fixed upon the Kingdom.
Because ultimately this study has never been merely about understanding the relationship between the Father and the Son.
It has been about understanding the Father’s redemptive plan.
The Father planned redemption.
The Son accomplished redemption.
The Ruach HaKodesh applies redemption.
The Kingdom completes redemption.
The Gospel of the Kingdom is the story of the Father’s love demonstrated through the perfect obedience of the Son and applied by the transforming work of the Ruach until the day the King returns to establish His everlasting Kingdom.
That is why doctrine matters.
Not so we can win arguments.
Not so we can prove ourselves right.
Not so we can defeat those who disagree with us.
Doctrine matters because truth produces faithfulness.
Truth produces worship.
Truth produces obedience.
Truth produces discernment.
Truth prepares the Bride.
Truth prepares the saints for the return of the King.
As we have seen repeatedly throughout this series, Satan rarely attacks truth by denying it completely.
He attacks truth by separating what Elohim has joined together or by joining together what Elohim has kept distinct.
He confuses the Father with the Son.
He diminishes the Son to something less than the Scriptures reveal.
He divides the unity of Elohim.
He obscures the Father’s eternal purpose.
The answer has always been the same.
Return to the written Word.
Return to the whole counsel of Elohim.
Return to the Hebraic covenant foundation.
Let every witness speak.
Let every passage remain in its context.
Let the Father remain the Father.
Let the Son remain the Son.
Let the Ruach HaKodesh remain the Ruach.
Let the Kingdom remain the goal.
When we do, the beauty of Scripture begins to shine with remarkable clarity.
One Elohim.
One covenant.
One Kingdom.
One Gospel.
One Messiah.
One Bride.
One eternal purpose.
One glorious hope.
May we never stop searching the Scriptures.
May we never become satisfied with inherited traditions when the written Word speaks more clearly.
May we always be willing to test every doctrine.
May we always be willing to humble ourselves before the authority of Scripture.
May we faithfully proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom until Yahusha returns in the glory of the Father to establish the Kingdom that shall never end.
To Yahuah be all glory.
To Yahusha be all honor.
May the Ruach HaKodesh continually lead us into all truth.
Amain.
