  5. The Appointed Week — Day 8: Firstfruits Part 6 — The First Witnesses

The Appointed Week — Day 8: Firstfruits
The Eighth Great Day — Resurrection, New Creation, and the Revealing of the Kingdom

“Day 7 ended in silence. Day 8 begins in revelation.”

Part 6 — The First Witnesses
The Resurrection Was First Entrusted to the Faithful, Not the Powerful

The first witnesses of resurrection were not kings.

Not governors.

Not priests.

Not scribes.

Not the religious authorities.

Not the powerful men controlling Jerusalem.

The first witnesses were faithful women who remained near through the suffering, the crucifixion, the burial, the silence of Day 7, and the uncertainty of resurrection morning itself.

While many scattered beneath fear…

They stayed near.

While others hid behind locked doors…

They approached the tomb before dawn.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within Day 8:

The Kingdom of Yahuah repeatedly entrusts revelation to the faithful rather than the powerful.

This pattern appears throughout all of Scripture.

The shepherds first heard the announcement of Messiah’s birth (Luke 2:8–14).

Fishermen became apostles.

David was chosen while overlooked among his brothers (1 Samuel 16:11–13).

The prophets emerged from wilderness places rather than royal palaces.

Again and again Yahuah bypasses the structures exalted by man and reveals Himself through those walking in humility, surrender, obedience, and covenant faithfulness.

This becomes one of the greatest confrontations against Babylonian thinking.

Babylon exalts:

  • status,
  • position,
  • influence,
  • titles,
  • institutions,
  • wealth,
  • and visible authority.

But the Kingdom looks for:

  • faithfulness,
  • surrender,
  • obedience,
  • humility,
  • endurance,
  • and those willing to remain near when others fall away.

This is why the first witnesses matter so profoundly.

The resurrection was not entrusted first to those holding earthly power.

The resurrection was entrusted first to those remaining faithful through the darkness.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within the Appointed Week structure:

The ones who remain through the silence become the ones entrusted with revelation.

Day 7 tested loyalty.

Day 7 tested endurance.

Day 7 tested whether people would remain near after visible hope appeared buried beneath the grave.

Now Day 8 reveals who remained faithful through the silence itself.

This becomes deeply important because many people remain near while miracles are multiplying, crowds are gathering, and visible victories appear obvious. But covenant loyalty becomes exposed most clearly when:

  • pressure increases,
  • silence lingers,
  • understanding fades,
  • and visible outcomes appear uncertain.

This is exactly what resurrection morning reveals.

The women did not yet fully understand resurrection.

They still carried spices.

They still expected burial.

They still approached the tomb expecting death to remain present.

And yet they came anyway.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations of covenant faithfulness:

Faithfulness continues moving toward Yahuah even when understanding remains incomplete.

This directly confronts modern conditional spirituality.

Many people remain committed only while:

  • circumstances appear favorable,
  • understanding feels clear,
  • prayers appear answered immediately,
  • and visible movement confirms expectation.

But covenant faithfulness remains near even during silence.

The women become one of the greatest examples of this reality in all of Scripture.

They remained near the cross (John 19:25).

They observed the burial (Luke 23:55).

They rested according to the Sabbath commandment (Luke 23:56).

And they returned before dawn to the tomb itself (Luke 24:1).

This becomes profoundly important because resurrection revelation was entrusted to those who remained aligned through every stage of the process.

This mirrors the entire covenant pattern throughout Scripture.

Israel crossed the sea only after remaining beneath covenant instruction.

Joshua entered inheritance after wilderness endurance.

Elijah encountered the still small voice after remaining through isolation and pressure.

Again and again the same principle appears:

Revelation follows covenant endurance.

This is why the women now stand at the center of resurrection witness.

They came expecting death.

Instead, they became the first carriers of resurrection proclamation.

This becomes one of the greatest prophetic reversals in all of Scripture.

The systems of the world would have considered them insignificant.

But Heaven entrusted them first.

This directly overturns worldly hierarchy.

The Kingdom repeatedly reveals that Heaven’s measurements differ completely from Babylon’s measurements.

Man looks at:

  • rank,
  • credentials,
  • public recognition,
  • and visible influence.

Yahuah looks at:

  • the heart,
  • faithfulness,
  • obedience,
  • surrender,
  • and endurance beneath pressure.

This is why resurrection morning becomes so deeply exposing.

The religious authorities possessed:

  • the Temple,
  • the priesthood,
  • the educational systems,
  • the influence,
  • and the visible authority.

But they stood completely disconnected from the resurrection unfolding before them.

Meanwhile faithful women approaching the tomb before dawn became the first witnesses of the greatest event in history.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within Day 8:

The Kingdom of Yahuah is not dependent upon earthly systems in order to reveal itself.

The resurrection bypassed the structures of power completely.

And Heaven entrusted the witness to the faithful.

This is why the first witnesses also become one of the greatest prophetic confrontations against pride in all of Scripture.

The resurrection openly humiliated the assumptions of human hierarchy.

The religious authorities believed themselves guardians of truth.

The scholars believed themselves interpreters of covenant understanding.

The powerful believed themselves controllers of the moment.

And yet Heaven entrusted the first resurrection witness to those the systems of the world would have considered socially insignificant.

This was not accidental.

Yahuah repeatedly overturns human pride through the very structure of His Kingdom.

Paul later writes:

“Elohim hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise…” (1 Corinthians 1:27).

That principle becomes fully visible on resurrection morning.

The women become the first carriers of resurrection testimony while the systems of power remain spiritually blind.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within the Kingdom itself:

The Kingdom is not revealed primarily through worldly status.

The Kingdom is revealed through covenant alignment.

This is why the resurrection witness repeatedly bypasses:

  • political structures,
  • institutional control,
  • religious elitism,
  • and worldly systems of influence.

The Kingdom flows through faithful witnesses.

This becomes profoundly important because the resurrection is not merely about what happened at the tomb.

The resurrection reveals how Yahuah governs revelation itself.

Babylon distributes authority according to power.

The Kingdom distributes revelation according to faithfulness.

That distinction changes everything.

This is why the women become so important prophetically.

They remained through the suffering.

They remained through the shame.

They remained through the burial.

They remained through the silence.

And now they become the first to witness resurrection life openly revealed.

This becomes one of the deepest covenant patterns throughout Scripture:

Those who remain through the crushing often become entrusted with the revealing.

Joseph endured the pit before elevation.

Moses endured exile before deliverance.

David endured wilderness before kingship.

The prophets endured rejection before vindication.

Again and again Yahuah forms witnesses through endurance.

This is why the remnant throughout Scripture repeatedly emerges from places of pressure rather than comfort.

Babylon produces consumers.

The Kingdom produces witnesses.

This is one of the greatest revelations hidden within resurrection morning.

The women did not merely receive information.

They became witnesses.

That distinction matters profoundly.

Witnesses carry testimony born from encounter.

The resurrection therefore immediately moves outward through living testimony.

This becomes one of the great prophetic themes extending from Day 8 into the entire Book of Acts.

The Kingdom advances through witness.

“And ye shall be witnesses unto me…” (Acts 1:8).

The resurrection creates witnesses.

This is why the women are immediately instructed to go tell the others (Matthew 28:7).

The resurrection was never intended to remain private revelation.

Resurrection truth moves outward.

This mirrors light itself.

Light does not remain hidden naturally.

Light reveals.

Light exposes.

Light spreads outward into darkness.

The resurrection now begins functioning the same way.

The empty tomb produces proclamation.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within the Gospel itself:

The Gospel is not merely information to preserve privately.

The Gospel becomes living witness moving outward into creation.

This is why the resurrection morning immediately transitions from discovery into proclamation.

The women see.

The women hear.

The women are transformed.

And then the women are sent.

This reveals something critically important concerning the Kingdom:

Encounter produces commission.

Again and again throughout Scripture:

  • Isaiah encounters holiness and is sent (Isaiah 6:1–8),
  • Moses encounters Yahuah and is sent to Egypt,
  • Ezekiel encounters glory and is sent as watchman,
  • the disciples encounter resurrection and are sent to the nations.

The Kingdom does not reveal itself merely for observation.

The Kingdom reveals itself for witness.

This is why the first witnesses become such a powerful prophetic picture for the remnant.

The remnant is not chosen for worldly prominence.

The remnant is chosen for covenant witness.

This becomes especially important in the last days because Revelation repeatedly centers upon faithful witness under pressure.

The beast systems of the earth continually seek:

  • conformity,
  • silence,
  • compromise,
  • and fear-driven submission.

But resurrection morning already revealed the pattern before the final conflict fully unfolds.

The faithful witnesses remain near even through darkness.

And those remaining near become entrusted with proclamation.

This is why the women become one of the greatest prophetic rebukes against passive faith.

They moved toward the tomb while others hid.

They sought Yahuah while others remained paralyzed beneath fear.

They remained faithful while understanding still remained incomplete.

And Heaven entrusted them with resurrection witness.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within Day 8:

Faithfulness during silence prepares people for revelation when the Kingdom openly manifests.

This is why the first witnesses matter so profoundly.

The resurrection was not first entrusted to the powerful.

The resurrection was first entrusted to the faithful.

This is why the first witnesses also become one of the greatest prophetic revelations concerning the remnant.

The remnant is rarely the visible majority.

The remnant is rarely positioned within the centers of worldly power.

The remnant is rarely celebrated by Babylon.

The remnant is defined by covenant faithfulness under pressure.

This is exactly what the women reveal on resurrection morning.

They remained near when public momentum collapsed.

They remained near when fear spread through the disciples.

They remained near when visible circumstances appeared hopeless.

And now Heaven entrusts them with resurrection proclamation.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within covenant history itself:

Yahuah repeatedly preserves witness through faithful remnants while larger systems drift into blindness.

Noah remained faithful while the world descended into corruption.

Elijah believed himself alone while Yahuah preserved seven thousand who had not bowed to Baal (1 Kings 19:18).

The prophets stood against nations.

The apostles stood against empires.

And now the first resurrection witnesses stand quietly before an empty tomb while Jerusalem still sleeps beneath spiritual blindness.

This becomes profoundly important because the Kingdom repeatedly advances through faithful remnants rather than through numerical dominance.

Babylon measures success through size, visibility, influence, and public acceptance.

The Kingdom measures faithfulness through obedience, endurance, witness, and covenant alignment.

This is why resurrection morning appears so different than human expectation.

The resurrection does not first appear publicly before Rome.

The resurrection does not first appear before the Sanhedrin.

The resurrection does not erupt first through political overthrow.

Instead, resurrection life begins moving through faithful witnesses remaining near during darkness.

This becomes one of the deepest prophetic patterns for the last days.

The remnant may appear small outwardly.

The remnant may appear marginalized outwardly.

The remnant may appear weak outwardly.

But resurrection morning already revealed how Heaven works.

The Kingdom does not require Babylon’s approval in order to advance.

This is why Revelation repeatedly identifies the remnant through faithfulness rather than worldly dominance:

“Here are they that keep the commandments of Elohim, and the faith of Yahusha” (Revelation 14:12).

That pattern already appears fully visible on resurrection morning.

The women remained faithful.

The women remained near.

The women remained obedient.

And therefore the women became witnesses.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within witness itself.

Witness is not merely intellectual agreement with truth.

Witness emerges from remaining aligned through the process.

The women witnessed:

  • the crucifixion,
  • the suffering,
  • the burial,
  • the silence,
  • and now the resurrection.

Their testimony emerged from proximity.

This is why remaining near matters so deeply spiritually.

Distance from covenant reality weakens discernment.

Distance from truth weakens endurance.

Distance from Yahuah produces confusion and fear.

But proximity produces witness.

This is why John repeatedly appears near:

  • near the cross,
  • near the burial,
  • near the empty tomb,
  • near the resurrection witness.

Nearness matters.

This becomes deeply important because modern spirituality often seeks information without surrender, knowledge without proximity, and understanding without endurance. But Scripture repeatedly reveals that revelation is entrusted through relationship, faithfulness, and remaining near during difficult seasons.

This is why resurrection morning becomes so deeply exposing.

The women did not yet fully understand resurrection theology.

They still expected burial.

They still carried spices.

And yet Heaven entrusted them first because covenant faithfulness mattered more than intellectual completeness.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within the Kingdom:

Yahuah often entrusts revelation to the faithful before the fully knowledgeable.

Again and again Scripture reveals this same pattern.

The disciples often misunderstood timing and prophecy while remaining faithful enough to continue following.

David was anointed long before fully understanding kingship.

Abraham obeyed before seeing fulfillment.

The prophets spoke beyond what they themselves fully comprehended.

This is why covenant faithfulness becomes more important than mere accumulation of information.

Babylon produces experts.

The Kingdom produces witnesses.

This is why the resurrection immediately moves outward through testimony.

The women are told:
“Go quickly, and tell his disciples…” (Matthew 28:7).

The resurrection creates responsibility.

Encounter creates proclamation.

Witness creates movement outward.

This becomes one of the deepest revelations hidden within Firstfruits itself.

Firstfruits was never meant to remain isolated.

Firstfruits guaranteed the harvest still coming afterward.

Now resurrection witness begins spreading outward from the empty tomb exactly the same way.

The Firstfruits has emerged.

The proclamation begins.

The harvest approaches.

And the Kingdom of Yahuah has already begun openly advancing into creation through faithful witnesses carrying resurrection testimony.
