Paul and the Gospel of Yeshua: One Message for All Humanity

Paul and the Gospel of Y’shu’ah: One Message for All Humanity

Was Paul preaching a "different gospel" than Y’shu’ah? Some claim his teachings diverged from the message of the Kingdom Y’shu’ah proclaimed, suggesting two distinct gospels—one for Jews and one for Gentiles. But is this claim supported by Scripture? Paul’s letters reveal a profound continuity with Y’shu’ah’s mission, grounded in the Torah and the Prophets, offering redemption, restoration, and inclusion for all who believe. Join us as we dismantle the myth of a "different gospel" and uncover the unified message of salvation that spans both the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament. The idea that Paul preached a "different gospel" than Y’shu’ah is a common misconception that misrepresents his mission and writings. Some argue that Paul’s teachings diverged from Y’shu’ah’s proclamation of the Kingdom, suggesting two distinct gospels—one for Jews and another for Gentiles. However, this claim is not supported by Scripture. Paul’s letters consistently reveal a profound continuity with Y’shu’ah’s mission, rooted in the Torah and the Prophets, and emphasize redemption, restoration, and inclusion for all who believe.

Paul’s teachings align seamlessly with Y’shu’ah’s message of the Kingdom, offering one unified Gospel that brings Jew and Gentile into covenant relationship with Elohim through Y’shu’ah HaMashiach. Far from introducing a new or different gospel, Paul faithfully proclaimed the fulfillment of Elohim’s promises in Y’shu’ah. This unified message assures that all who repent and believe can partake in the blessings of the eternal Kingdom, demonstrating the harmony between Y’shu’ah’s teachings to Israel and Paul’s mission to the Gentiles. 1. Paul’s Gospel: The Same as Y’shu’ah’s

Paul’s teachings align with Y’shu’ah’s proclamation of the Kingdom, redemption, and restoration. Far from introducing a new gospel, Paul extended Y’shu’ah’s mission to include the Gentiles, fulfilling Elohim’s promise to Abraham.

Paul’s Claim of Unity:

  • Galatians 1:8-9: Paul warns against any deviation from the Gospel he preached, emphasizing its divine origin.

  • Galatians 1:12: Paul asserts he received the Gospel directly by revelation from Y’shu’ah.

Y’shu’ah’s Kingdom Mission:

  • Mark 1:15: Y’shu’ah proclaimed, "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the Gospel."

  • Matthew 28:19-20: Y’shu’ah’s Great Commission instructed His disciples to teach all nations, extending the Gospel beyond Israel.

Paul’s Continuity:

  • Ephesians 2:11-22: Paul explains how Y’shu’ah united Jew and Gentile, creating one new humanity in His body.

  • Romans 15:8-9: Paul describes Y’shu’ah as a servant to Israel, confirming Elohim’s promises to the patriarchs and extending mercy to the Gentiles.

2. The True Gospel of the Kingdom: Redemption, Salvation, and Restoration

The Gospel of the Kingdom is the central message proclaimed by Y’shu’ah and carried forward by Paul. Far from introducing a separate message, Paul emphasized the same redemptive and restorative work outlined in the Torah, the Prophets, and fulfilled in Y’shu’ah. This unified Gospel encompasses the call to repentance, faith, and a restored covenant relationship with Elohim.

Redemption: Freedom Through the Blood of Y’shu’ah

Redemption is the foundation of the Gospel, the means by which humanity is freed from the bondage of sin and death.

  • Ephesians 1:7: "In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace."

    • This verse highlights the sacrificial work of Y’shu’ah, fulfilling the requirement of the Torah for atonement (Leviticus 17:11). His blood provides the ultimate covering for sin, delivering humanity from its penalty.

  • John 1:29: John the Immerser declared, "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"

    • Y’shu’ah is the fulfillment of the Passover lamb, whose blood protected the Israelites during the Exodus (Exodus 12:13). Through His sacrifice, He becomes the eternal atonement for all who believe.

Redemption isn’t merely forgiveness—it is a divine exchange where believers are purchased by Elohim to become His covenant people (1 Corinthians 6:20).

Salvation: Deliverance Through Faith

Salvation in the Gospel is both immediate and eternal, offering deliverance from sin and the promise of eternal life.

  • Romans 10:9-10: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Y’shu’ah and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

    • Salvation comes through faith in Y’shu’ah’s resurrection, affirming His power over death and His role as the promised Messiah.

  • John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

    • This foundational verse underscores the universal reach of salvation, extending Elohim’s promise beyond Israel to all nations.

Paul’s teaching on salvation aligns with Y’shu’ah’s own words, emphasizing belief, repentance, and transformation. Salvation is the entry point into the Kingdom of Elohim, restoring humanity to its intended relationship with the Creator.

Restoration: Rebuilding the Covenant Relationship

Restoration is the heart of the Gospel, bringing humanity back into alignment with Elohim’s covenant purposes.

  • Jeremiah 31:31-34: The new covenant promised in the Torah is written on the hearts of believers, enabling them to walk in obedience.

    • Y’shu’ah’s death and resurrection inaugurate this covenant, fulfilling Elohim’s promises to Israel and extending them to the Gentiles.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17-18: "If anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

    • Through Y’shu’ah, believers are restored as new creations, reconciled to Elohim and called to reflect His image.

Restoration also encompasses the unification of Jew and Gentile in one body, as Paul explains in Ephesians 2:14-16. The dividing wall is broken down, creating one people under the rule of Elohim.

The Kingdom: A New Way of Life

The Gospel of the Kingdom is not merely about individual salvation but the establishment of Elohim’s rule and reign on Earth.

  • Matthew 6:10: "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven."

    • The Kingdom is about living under Elohim’s authority, demonstrating His righteousness, justice, and mercy in every aspect of life.

  • Matthew 5:14-16: Believers are called to be the light of the world, reflecting the Kingdom’s values and drawing others to Elohim.

Paul echoed this Kingdom focus, calling believers to live as citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20) and to walk in the Spirit, producing the fruit of righteousness (Galatians 5:22-23).

The Gospel’s Unified Message

The Gospel of the Kingdom, proclaimed by Y’shu’ah and expounded by Paul, is a seamless continuation of Elohim’s redemptive plan:

  1. Repentance: Both Y’shu’ah and Paul called people to turn from sin and align with Elohim’s ways (Mark 1:15; Acts 17:30).

  2. Faith: Trusting in Y’shu’ah as the Messiah and His atoning work is central to salvation (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10).

  3. Obedience: The new covenant empowers believers to walk in righteousness, fulfilling the Torah’s intent (Matthew 5:17-19; Romans 8:4).

  4. Restoration: Jew and Gentile are united as one people in Messiah, fulfilling Elohim’s promise to bless all nations through Abraham (Genesis 12:3; Ephesians 2:11-22).

Application for Believers

The Gospel of the Kingdom is a call to live as active participants in Elohim’s redemptive work:

  • Reflect the Kingdom: Let your life be a testimony of Elohim’s love, grace, and truth, drawing others into His covenant (Matthew 5:14-16).

  • Abide in Y’shu’ah: As the true vine, Y’shu’ah is the source of spiritual life and fruitfulness (John 15:5).

  • Proclaim the Gospel: Share the message of redemption, salvation, and restoration, inviting others to enter the Kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20).

The Gospel is not divided but unified, revealing Elohim’s eternal plan to redeem, restore, and reign with His people. Through Y’shu’ah, the Kingdom has come, offering hope and transformation to all who believe.

3. The Inclusion of the Gentiles

Paul’s ministry to the Gentiles fulfilled Elohim’s promises in the Torah and the Prophets.

Prophetic Fulfillment:

  • Isaiah 49:6: Elohim declared, "I will make You a light for the Gentiles, that You may bring My salvation to the ends of the earth."

  • Genesis 12:3: Through Abraham, all nations would be blessed, a promise realized in Y’shu’ah.

Gentiles Grafted In:

  • Romans 11:17-24: Paul describes Gentile believers as wild olive branches grafted into the covenant, sharing in its blessings.

  • Ephesians 3:6: "The Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members of one body, and sharers in the promise in Messiah Y’shu’ah."

4. The "Different Gospel" Paul Warned About

Paul warned against distortions of the Gospel, not the Gospel accounts themselves.

False Teachings:

  • Galatians 1:6-7: Paul rebukes those who pervert the Gospel, likely referring to legalists or Gnostics who added to or detracted from the message of grace.

  • 2 Corinthians 11:4: Paul warns against those who preach "another Jesus" or a "different spirit," addressing early heresies.

The True Gospel:

  • Acts 17:30-31: Paul calls all people to repent, affirming the universal need for salvation in Y’shu’ah.

  • 1 Corinthians 15:1-4: Paul outlines the Gospel: Y’shu’ah’s death, burial, and resurrection according to the Scriptures.

5. Paul’s Torah Observance

Paul’s teachings were rooted in Torah, demonstrating his commitment to Elohim’s instructions.

Paul’s Own Words:

  • Romans 3:31: "Do we then nullify the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we uphold the law."

  • Acts 24:14: Paul declares, "I worship the God of our ancestors, believing everything that is in accordance with the Law and the Prophets."

Y’shu’ah’s Fulfillment of Torah:

  • Matthew 5:17: Y’shu’ah declared, "I did not come to destroy the Law or the Prophets but to fulfill."

  • Paul reflects this fulfillment in his teaching, showing how faith in Y’shu’ah brings the Torah to its fullness.

6. The Gospel’s Call to Repentance and Covenant

Paul’s Gospel emphasizes repentance, faith, and obedience, aligning with Y’shu’ah’s call to enter Elohim’s Kingdom.

Repentance and Faith:

  • Mark 1:15: Y’shu’ah called for repentance and belief in the Gospel.

  • Romans 10:9-10: Paul echoes this, urging confession and belief in Y’shu’ah for salvation.

Walking in Covenant:

  • Deuteronomy 10:12-13: Yahuah calls His people to walk in His ways, a call reiterated by Paul (Galatians 5:22-23).

  • Hebrews 8:10: The new covenant writes the Torah on believers’ hearts, enabling them to walk in righteousness.

Conclusion: One Gospel, One Messiah

Paul did not preach a "different gospel." His message of redemption, restoration, and inclusion aligns perfectly with Y’shu’ah’s proclamation of the Kingdom. Rooted in Torah and the Prophets, Paul’s ministry extended Elohim’s promises to the nations, fulfilling the covenant and uniting Jew and Gentile under one Gospel. The truth of the Gospel calls us to repentance, faith, and obedience, drawing all believers into the eternal Kingdom of Elohim. Let us embrace this unified message, walking in covenant with Y’shu’ah and bearing the fruit of His Spirit. #PaulAndYshuah #UnifiedGospel #TruthInScripture #KingdomRedemption #BiblicalTruth #YshuahHaMashiach #OneGospel #FaithAndTorah #RestorationThroughYshuah #Yeshua #Yahshua #Ephraimscry #GregWitter
