Lawlessness or Obedience
The Line Yahusha Drew — and the Line That Still Stands
There is no neutral ground in covenant. One walks either in obedience or in rebellion.

DAY FIVE — LAWLESSNESS OR OBEDIENCE
This is where the entire discussion lands.
Not in theory.
Not in doctrine.
Not in debate.
But in how one walks.
From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture never presents covenant faith as mere belief detached from action. Covenant has always been relational obedience expressed through faithful walking. The modern attempt to separate faith from obedience is not a revelation—it is a fracture.
Yahusha did not leave ambiguity here.
THE FALSE DIVIDE: FAITH VS OBEDIENCE
A common claim today is that obedience equals legalism, and that walking in Torah somehow denies grace. Scripture does not support this claim.
Faith has never been defined as intellectual agreement. Biblical faith is trust demonstrated through obedience.
Abraham believed—and obeyed (Genesis 26:5).
Israel was redeemed—and instructed (Exodus 20:1–2).
The renewed covenant promises forgiveness—and Torah written on the heart (Jeremiah 31:33).
Grace does not abolish obedience.
Grace restores the ability to obey.
To claim faith while rejecting obedience is not freedom—it is rebellion dressed in spiritual language.
WHAT IS LAWLESSNESS IN SCRIPTURE?
Lawlessness is not imperfection.
Lawlessness is rejection of authority.
Yahusha defines it clearly:
“Not everyone that saith unto me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21)
He continues:
“Depart from me, ye that work lawlessness.” (Matthew 7:23)
The Greek word translated lawlessness is anomia—literally without Torah. Not struggling. Not growing. Not learning.
But refusing.
Lawlessness is claiming Messiah while rejecting His Father’s instruction.
YAHUSHA DID NOT LOWER THE STANDARD — HE LIVED IT
Yahusha never taught autonomy.
He taught alignment.
“I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.” (John 8:28)
“My food is to do the will of Him that sent me.” (John 4:34)
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)
He did not introduce a new morality.
He embodied the Torah.
His life was the living demonstration of covenant faithfulness—Torah walked out in flesh, empowered by the Spirit.
THE RENEWED COVENANT DOES NOT REMOVE TORAH — IT RELOCATES IT
The renewed covenant promise is explicit:
“I will put my Torah in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts.” (Jeremiah 31:33)
“I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes.” (Ezekiel 36:27)
The Torah was not erased.
It was internalized.
The Spirit does not replace obedience.
The Spirit produces obedience.
Any teaching that uses the Spirit to excuse rebellion is not from Elohim.
WALKING AS HE WALKED IS THE TEST
This is where Scripture becomes unavoidable.
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” (1 John 2:6)
This is not poetic language.
It is a covenant requirement.
To abide in Yahusha is to walk as Yahusha walked.
Not selectively.
Not symbolically.
Not spiritually redefined.
Walk means conduct.
Walk means lifestyle.
Walk means obedience in motion.
Yahusha walked in submission to the Father.
Yahusha walked in Torah faithfulness.
Yahusha walked by the Spirit without violating the instructions of Elohim.
THE LINE STILL STANDS
This teaching ends where it must end—with a question that cannot be avoided, softened, or reinterpreted away.
Scripture declares:
“These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” (1 John 2:26–27)
The Spirit teaches truth.
Truth produces obedience.
Obedience reveals covenant faith.
So the question remains—unavoidable and final:
How did He walk?
