Introduction: This Isn’t Just About Meat
This is bigger than meat.
Meat is just the entry point.
The real issue is that modern food is Babylonized—and most people don’t even realize how deep it goes. The conversation keeps getting trapped in minor debates—blood residue, soaking meat, boiling, microscope arguments—while the far heavier reality is ignored:
The entire food system is chemically engineered, profit-driven, pharmaceutically saturated, genetically manipulated, and systematically corrupt.
This is not paranoia. This is observable reality.
And Scripture already told us what this would look like: a world where the nations are deceived, where commerce becomes a snare, where the people are poisoned, and where Yahuah’s people must learn discernment, separation, and endurance.
“Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.”
— Revelation 18:4
This is not merely a spiritual slogan. It is a covenant command with real-world consequences.
The Covenant Foundation: Food Was Given as a Blessing—Not a Weapon
From the beginning, food was designed to sustain life, not destroy it.
Elohim gave seed-bearing plants and fruit as provision (Genesis 1:29).
Food was created within order: seed reproducing after its kind, land producing properly, and life sustained in rhythm.
But Babylon always does the same thing: it takes what Elohim made good and turns it into a control system.
It is not an accident that food has become:
chemically manipulated
nutritionally emptied
pharmaceutically altered
monetized beyond reason
and tied to disease and dependency
This is what systems do when they are cut off from covenant order.
Torah’s Instruction: Blood and Life, Not Fear and Ritual
Torah forbids blood as life—the circulating life-fluid of a creature.
“The life of the flesh is in the blood.”
— Leviticus 17:11
Torah commands that blood be poured out upon the ground (Deuteronomy 12:23–25). This instruction is about reverence, proper slaughter, and honoring life—not obsessive purity standards invented from modern videos.
And this is important: Torah never calls us to fear food like pagans.
Torah calls us to:
obey
discern
separate from uncleanness
honor creation order
and live wisely
Not to become anxious, paralyzed, and obsessed.
A Key Clarification: The Red Liquid in Meat Is Not Blood
One of the big fear hooks today is the claim that “the liquid in meat is blood.” In properly processed meat, it is primarily myoglobin, a muscle protein—not circulating blood (dam).
Torah addresses blood as life carried in the blood system—not intracellular muscle fluids.
If Torah required the total removal of every cellular fluid from muscle tissue, then no one could eat meat—ever—including the righteous in Scripture.
So we do not build doctrine off microscopes and modern panic. We build doctrine off Torah and covenant sense.
The Real War: Babylon’s Food System
Now we get to the weightier matters.
If you want to talk about being “unclean” today, start here:
1) Pesticides and Chemical Agriculture
Modern agriculture relies heavily on chemical sprays, herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and soil treatments that did not exist for the vast majority of human history.
We now have a world where “food” is grown in chemical systems designed to maximize yield, not health.
So even “healthy” produce often comes with invisible chemical baggage.
2) Fertilizers and Soil Destruction
Modern fertilizers do not restore the land—they force production. Soil gets depleted, microbial life gets killed, and the nutrient density of food drops.
So people eat more but receive less nourishment.
3) Genetic Engineering and Seed Corruption
Genetically modified crops are not simply “different seeds.” They are often designed for chemical resistance and profit control.
And this is a direct assault on the creation principle: seed after its kind.
Babylon corrupts seed, corrupts soil, corrupts food—and then markets the illness as “normal.”
4) Antibiotics and Hormones in Livestock
Factory farming uses:
antibiotics to keep diseased animals alive long enough to sell
hormones to accelerate growth
feed systems that are not natural for the animal
So the meat system becomes pharmaceutical.
And if the animal system is pharmaceutical, the human body becomes pharmaceutical.
That is not a coincidence. That is a pipeline.
5) Food Additives, Preservatives, and Chemical Processing
Walk down any grocery aisle and you are looking at:
emulsifiers
preservatives
flavor enhancers
synthetic oils
dyes
stabilizers
chemical sweeteners
shelf-life formulas
This is not “food” as creation intended. It is engineered consumption.
Babylon makes food addictive, metabolically destructive, and then sells medication as the fix.
The Fruit of It: Modern Disease Explosion
Look at the diseases that have exploded in modern times:
diabetes
autoimmune disorders
metabolic dysfunction
chronic inflammation
gut disorders
cancers that were historically rare
neurological decline
hormonal disruption
People act like this is normal. It is not normal.
This is what happens when a population eats:
processed chemical products
pharmaceutically altered meat
seed-corrupted crops
nutritionally hollow produce
And it’s one of the reasons Revelation’s warning matters:
“…lest you receive of her plagues.”
Babylon’s “plagues” are not only future judgments. Babylon also produces present consequences—and a major pathway is food.
Acts 15: A Covenant Baseline in a Mixed World
Acts 15 gave Gentile believers baseline commands including abstaining from:
idolatry
blood
what is strangled
sexual immorality
That is a boundary line for covenant fellowship in the nations. It protects believers from pagan food practices and idol-based consumption.
It does not create a permission structure for modern fear-based burdens. It calls believers to separation from pagan systems.
So What Do We Do? Practical Covenant Wisdom
We live in a defiled world. That is reality.
So covenant wisdom looks like this:
1) Stop Pretending Modern Food Is Neutral
It’s not neutral. It’s a system.
2) Aim for Directional Obedience, Not Fantasy Purity
You cannot fully escape Babylon while living inside Babylon. But you can stop pretending Babylon is harmless.
3) Learn Your Sources Where Possible
local farms
trusted butchers
hunting
homesteading
co-ops
small producers
organic where it truly matters
4) Reduce Exposure
Not perfection—reduction.
Because the system is so saturated, even small improvements matter long-term.
5) Don’t Let Fear Replace Faithfulness
Fear produces obsession. Faithfulness produces endurance.
We are not called to panic. We are called to prepare, separate, and endure.
Coming Out of Babylon: The Food System Is One Front in a Larger War
“Come out of her” includes:
doctrine
worship systems
economic systems
education systems
entertainment systems
healthcare systems
and yes—food systems
Food is not a side issue. It is one of the primary ways Babylon weakens people:
physically
mentally
emotionally
and spiritually
A sick, addicted, dependent population is easier to control.
So yes—this is covenant warfare.
A Word to the Older Saints
Some of us are 60, 70, 80 years old.
We were raised inside Babylon. We ate Babylon’s food for decades. Some consequences are already in the body.
Obedience does not always erase consequence—but it restores alignment.
And that matters.
Because you can’t undo fifty years overnight, but you can still:
reduce exposure
strengthen your household
teach the next generation
return to covenant order
and stop normalizing the corruption
Conclusion: Stop Straining Gnats and Swallowing Camels
If someone wants to obsess over myoglobin while ignoring:
GMOs
pesticides
antibiotics
hormones
chemicals
seed corruption
and processed food addiction
They are straining gnats and swallowing camels.
Torah is not a panic system. Torah is instruction for life.
Do not weaponize it. Do not distort it. Do not reduce covenant to obsessing over minor technicalities while Babylon poisons the land.
Come out of her—where you can. Teach your household. Make the best choices available. And walk in covenant faithfulness with wisdom and endurance.
This teaching is only an introduction. I don’t claim to have every answer, and I’m still working through many of these questions myself. Like most people today, I live inside a modern system I did not create and cannot fully escape. I walk grocery store aisles because I don’t have land to grow crops or raise animals, and I’m forced to navigate a food system that is already compromised. I read labels, I weigh options, and I try to make the best choices available—but it is taxing, especially as a single individual. That reality is part of why I strongly support homesteading, local food networks, and community-based solutions, even if I can’t fully live them out yet. I do bring practical skills to the table—I know how to butcher, process meat, and handle food properly because I’ve done it my whole life—but skill alone doesn’t remove the larger systemic challenge. So this isn’t about condemnation or pretending we’ve “arrived.” It’s about awareness, honesty, and walking forward with discernment, doing the best we can where we are, while continuing to seek better ways to live in covenant faithfulness inside a broken world.
If you want, next we can:
add a short “Questions We’re Still Wrestling With” section
or write a pastoral-style disclaimer for readers so this teaching doesn’t get weaponized
or turn this into a two-part series (Foundations → Practical Navigation)
Just tell me how you want to build it.
