Scripture does not present Yahusha as an escape from obedience.
It presents Him as Yahuah’s solution to corrupted priesthood, broken mediation, and covenant unfaithfulness.
From beginning to end, the testimony of Scripture is consistent: when priesthood fails, Yahuah intervenes—not by abolishing His Torah, but by establishing a faithful High Priest who perfectly represents Him and perfectly upholds His instruction.
This teaching answers a critical question that modern theology consistently avoids:
What did Yahuah restore through Yahusha—and what did He never remove?
Yahusha — High Priest Forever
Hebrews 4:14–16; Hebrews 7:24–26
Scripture declares that Yahusha is the Great High Priest who has passed through the heavens and holds an unchangeable priesthood. Unlike the sons of Aaron—who died, failed, and became corrupted—Yahusha:
lives forever (Hebrews 7:24)
is holy, undefiled, and separate from sin (Hebrews 7:26)
never deviates from the Father’s will (John 8:29)
This is not the abolition of priesthood.
It is the correction of priesthood.
The problem was never Torah.
The problem was corrupt mediation (Malachi 2:8; Ezekiel 22:26).
Yahusha does not lower the covenant standard—He secures it eternally.
Yahusha — Living Torah
Matthew 5:17–19; John 1:14; 1 John 2:6
Yahusha states plainly that He did not come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. He came to fulfill them—to bring them to full expression, embodiment, and proper application.
John confirms this by declaring that the Word became flesh (John 1:14). Torah did not disappear. Torah walked among us.
This is why the apostle John later writes:
“The one who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
— 1 John 2:6
Yahusha is not an exception to obedience.
He is the standard of obedience.
Rejecting Torah while claiming to follow Yahusha is a contradiction Scripture does not allow.
Torah Written on the Heart
Jeremiah 31:33; Ezekiel 36:26–27
The renewed covenant promise is explicit and unambiguous:
the Torah remains
the location changes
the power source is transformed
Yahuah says He will:
put His Torah within His people
write it on their hearts
cause them to walk in His statutes
The Spirit does not replace Torah.
The Spirit internalizes and empowers it.
Any teaching that claims the Spirit frees believers from obedience directly contradicts the covenant promise itself.
Direct Instruction Promised
Isaiah 54:13; John 14:26
Yahuah promises that His people will be taught by Him. Yahusha affirms this by promising the Ruach HaKodesh, who will teach and remind believers of everything He taught.
This promise does not eliminate teachers.
It eliminates corrupt control and false mediation.
True instruction:
aligns with Scripture (Isaiah 8:20)
produces obedience (James 1:22)
leads people back to Yahuah’s Word, not to personalities
Spirit and Truth — Not Spirit Versus Truth
John 4:23; 1 John 2:27
True worship is in Spirit and truth.
Truth is defined by Torah (Psalm 119:142).
The Spirit leads into truth, not away from it.
Scripture knows nothing of a “Spirit-led” life that excuses rebellion.
The Spirit convicts, trains, and empowers obedience (Romans 8:4).
Spirit without Torah leads to lawlessness.
Torah without the Spirit leads to dead religion.
Yahuah never intended either extreme.
One Mediator — Yahusha Alone
1 Timothy 2:5
There is one mediator between Elohim and man: Yahusha the Messiah.
This removes:
corrupt priesthood
institutional gatekeeping
human authority that overrides Scripture
But it does not remove covenant obligation.
Yahusha mediates the covenant.
He does not dissolve it.
Final Anchor Truth
TORAH + SPIRIT = TRUE INSTRUCTION
Remove Torah, and spirituality becomes lawless.
Remove the Spirit, and obedience becomes external and powerless.
Yahusha restores both.
This is why this teaching cannot be reduced to a slogan or a meme. It is a covenant framework that:
prevents anarchic interpretation
blocks “Torah abolished” deception
centers Yahusha correctly
restores obedience without legalism
Watchman Conclusion
Yahusha is not the permission slip to abandon obedience.
He is the means by which obedience becomes faithful, internal, and enduring.
He corrects priesthood.
He embodies Torah.
He empowers covenant faithfulness.
Anything else is not freedom.
It is rebellion with religious language.
