THE VERSES ARE SCRIPTURE — THE ARROWS ARE INTERPRETATION
PART 7 — THE VERSES MAY BE SCRIPTURE — THE ARROWS ARE INTERPRETATION
Testing the Connections, Testing the Conclusions, and Refusing to Give Human Interpretation the Authority of Scripture

Hebraic Mindset Study Series
Study • Learn • Apply • Grow • Share ☆ Repeat
We have reached the final teaching in this series.
For six parts, we have examined individual theological arrows.
Now we step back and examine the method itself.
Because the central warning of this entire series is bigger than Galatians 3.
It is bigger than Romans 10.
It is bigger than Hebrews 8.
It is bigger than the Sabbath debate.
It is a principle that must govern every serious study of Scripture:
A BIBLE REFERENCE PROVES THE VERSE EXISTS.
IT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY PROVE THE THEOLOGY BUILT BETWEEN THE VERSES.
That distinction is simple.
But it is enormous.
A person can construct an entire theological chart using legitimate Bible verses.
Every reference can be accurate.
Every quotation can be real.
Every book, chapter, and verse can exist exactly where the teacher says it exists.
And the conclusion can still be wrong.
How?
Because the error may not be inside the verses.
THE ERROR MAY BE IN THE ARROWS.
THE VERSE AND THE ARROW HAVE DIFFERENT AUTHORITY
This distinction must never be blurred.
The verse carries the authority of Scripture.
The arrow does not.
The verse is what Scripture says.
The arrow represents what an interpreter says the verse means, how it connects to another verse, or what conclusion should be drawn from the relationship.
That does not mean interpretation is wrong.
We all interpret.
Every teacher interprets.
Every commentary interprets.
Every sermon interprets.
Every theological chart interprets.
Every translation itself involves interpretive decisions.
The issue is not whether interpretation exists.
The issue is whether we recognize interpretation as interpretation and keep it underneath the authority of Scripture.
The moment an interpreter’s conclusion is treated as though Yahuah Himself wrote it into the verse, the authority line has been crossed.
THIS SERIES HAS TESTED SIX ARROWS
Look at what we have examined.
PART 1
The verse says something was:
“ADDED BECAUSE OF TRANSGRESSIONS.”
Then comes the arrow:
ADDED → THEREFORE TORAH DID NOT EXIST BEFORE SINAI.
But Genesis 26:5 says Avraham obeyed Yahuah’s commandments, statutes, and Torah before Sinai.
Romans 4:15 says where there is no Torah there is no transgression.
Exodus 16 speaks of Yahuah’s commands and Torot before Sinai.
The arrow could not survive the witnesses.
PART 2
Galatians 3:17 says something came:
430 YEARS LATER.
Then comes the arrow:
430 YEARS LATER → THEREFORE TORAH FIRST BEGAN 430 YEARS AFTER AVRAHAM.
But that is not what the verse says.
Sha’ul’s argument is that what came later could not annul the earlier promise.
Chronological sequence was converted into a claim of absolute nonexistence.
Again:
The verse was Scripture.
The arrow was interpretation.
PART 3
Exodus 31 says the Sabbath became a covenant sign between Yahuah and Yisra’el.
Then comes the arrow:
COVENANT SIGN AT SINAI → THEREFORE SABBATH BEGAN AT SINAI.
But Genesis 2 already established the seventh day at Creation.
Yahuah rested.
Yahuah blessed it.
Yahuah set it apart.
Exodus 16 then demonstrates Sabbath instruction before Sinai.
The sign did not create what the sign identified.
Again:
THE ARROW FAILED.
PART 4
Galatians describes Torah functioning as a guardian:
UNTIL MESSIAH.
Then comes the arrow:
UNTIL MESSIAH → THEREFORE TORAH ENDED WHEN MESSIAH CAME.
But “until” does not automatically mean abolition.
Sha’ul says faith establishes Torah.
Yahusha says He did not come to destroy Torah.
Jeremiah says the New Covenant writes Torah upon the heart.
The guardian reaches its appointed purpose.
That does not mean Yahuah’s righteousness disappears.
Again:
The arrow added more than the verse said.
PART 5
Hebrews says the first Covenant became old and obsolete.
Then comes the arrow:
FIRST COVENANT OBSOLETE → THEREFORE TORAH OBSOLETE.
But Hebrews says:
“finding fault with them.”
Jeremiah says:
“My covenant which they broke.”
And the New Covenant promise says:
“I will put My Torah within them and write it upon their hearts.”
The covenant administration becoming obsolete cannot simply be renamed:
“Torah became obsolete.”
The text does not permit it.
PART 6
Romans 10:4 says Messiah is the:
TELOS OF TORAH.
Then comes the arrow:
TELOS → TERMINATION → TORAH ENDED.
But telos can describe goal, outcome, culmination, purpose, or intended destination.
Romans 3:31 says faith establishes Torah.
Romans 7 calls Torah holy, righteous, good, and spiritual.
Yahusha says He did not come to destroy Torah.
Messiah is the goal and culmination toward which the covenantal testimony points.
Again:
THE VERSE STOOD.
THE ARROW FAILED.
DO YOU SEE THE PATTERN?
This is the point of the entire series.
The theological system does not necessarily have to falsify the verse.
Sometimes it only has to control the connection between the verses.
That is much harder to detect.
A false quotation can be checked.
A nonexistent verse can be exposed.
A mistranslated word can be investigated.
But an interpretive arrow can quietly sit between two perfectly legitimate passages and carry an enormous theological assumption.
That is why discernment cannot stop at:
“Did they quote Scripture?”
The next question must be:
“DOES SCRIPTURE ACTUALLY ESTABLISH THE CONNECTION THEY JUST MADE?”
REMOVE THE ARROWS
Here is one of the simplest tests you can perform on any theological chart, teaching, sermon, commentary, video, article, or social-media graphic.
Remove the arrows.
Remove the theological labels.
Remove the explanatory statements.
Remove the conclusions.
Leave only the verses.
Then read each passage in its actual context.
Now ask:
Would the same theological connections naturally reappear from Scripture itself?
If yes, demonstrate them.
If no, then the doctrine may have been carried primarily by the arrows rather than by the verses.
That does not automatically prove every conclusion false.
But it places the burden of proof exactly where it belongs.
ON THE INTERPRETATION.
IDENTIFY THE CLAIM BEFORE YOU ARGUE
This discipline will prevent enormous amounts of wasted debate.
Do not immediately argue against a person’s conclusion.
First identify precisely what is being claimed.
Then separate:
THE VERSE.
THE ARROW.
THE CONCLUSION.
For example:
VERSE: Galatians 3:19 says something was added because of transgressions.
ARROW: “Added” means Yahuah possessed no Torah before Sinai.
CONCLUSION: Torah began at Sinai and therefore could later be abolished.
Now the actual disagreement becomes visible.
You do not have to deny Galatians 3:19.
You can affirm Galatians 3:19 completely while rejecting the arrow attached to it.
That is a critical distinction.
DO NOT ARGUE WITH A VERSE YOU ALREADY AGREE WITH
This happens constantly.
Someone quotes a verse.
You say their conclusion does not follow.
They quote the same verse again.
You explain the distinction.
They quote the verse again.
Eventually the conversation becomes:
“Why don’t you believe Scripture?”
Stop.
The disagreement may not be about Scripture at all.
The disagreement may be about what the person believes Scripture proves.
Say it clearly:
“I BELIEVE THE VERSE. I AM ASKING YOU TO PROVE YOUR ARROW.”
Repeating the verse does not prove the connection.
The burden remains.
THE BURDEN OF PROOF BELONGS TO THE ARROW
If someone claims:
VERSE A → THEREFORE VERSE B MEANS X
the person making that connection carries the burden of establishing it.
Ask:
What words establish the connection?
Does the immediate context support it?
Does the book’s argument support it?
Does the chronology support it?
Does the Hebrew or Greek support it?
Does Torah support it?
Do the Prophets support it?
Do the Writings support it?
Does the Apostolic Witness support it?
Does Yahusha support it?
Does the interpretation force one passage to contradict another?
Those questions are not obstruction.
They are disciplined study.
CONTEXT IS NOT OPTIONAL
A verse has a home.
It belongs inside a sentence.
The sentence belongs inside an argument.
The argument belongs inside a book.
The book belongs inside the larger Scriptural witness.
And the entire witness belongs within Yahuah’s covenantal revelation.
Therefore, before moving a verse somewhere else with an arrow, determine what that verse is doing where Scripture placed it.
Do not begin with:
“How can I use this verse?”
Begin with:
“WHAT DOES THIS VERSE ESTABLISH HERE?”
Only then should broader connections be tested.
CHRONOLOGY MUST BE HONORED
Several false arrows in this series failed because they reversed Scriptural chronology.
Torah before Sinai.
Sin before Sinai.
Commandments before Sinai.
Sabbath at Creation.
Sabbath before Sinai.
Promise before Sinai.
Messiah fulfilling what came before rather than erasing what came before.
Chronology matters.
A later covenant function cannot create an earlier reality.
A later codification cannot prove earlier nonexistence.
A later sign cannot create what already existed.
A later fulfillment cannot retroactively make the earlier witness false.
Do not reverse Scripture to protect theology.
WORD STUDIES MUST REMAIN UNDER CONTEXT
Words matter.
Hebrew matters.
Greek matters.
But a lexicon is not permission to choose whichever definition protects our theology.
Telos can have a semantic range.
“Until” can function differently depending upon context.
“Law” can refer to different things depending upon the argument.
“Covenant” and “Torah” cannot simply be treated as interchangeable words.
The question is always:
WHAT DOES THE WORD MEAN HERE?
Grammar.
Context.
Usage.
Argument.
Witnesses.
Those determine meaning.
Not theological preference.
DO NOT CONFUSE CATEGORIES
Much of the error exposed in this series came from collapsing different categories.
Existence.
Codification.
Covenant ratification.
Covenant sign.
Justification.
Sanctification.
Priesthood.
Sacrifice.
Covenant administration.
Moral righteousness.
Promise.
Inheritance.
Faith.
Obedience.
These categories interact.
But they are not interchangeable.
If you collapse them all into one box labeled LAW, you can create almost any theological timeline you want.
Then you can place Sinai at one end, Messiah at the other, draw an arrow, and write:
LAW ENDED.
But the chart has hidden the distinctions Scripture requires us to preserve.
JUSTIFICATION AND OBEDIENCE MUST NOT BE CONFUSED
This distinction has governed the entire series.
Torah obedience does not purchase redemption.
Sabbath keeping does not purchase redemption.
Clean eating does not purchase redemption.
Feast keeping does not purchase redemption.
No human being earns the blood of Yahusha.
Salvation is by grace through faith.
But Scripture never turns that truth into:
THEREFORE OBEDIENCE IS ABOLISHED.
That is another arrow.
The Scriptural order is:
REDEMPTION FIRST → COVENANT FAITHFULNESS FOLLOWS.
Yahuah redeemed Yisra’el before Sinai.
Avraham believed Yahuah and then walked obediently.
Yahusha redeems.
The Ruach transforms.
Torah is written upon the heart.
The redeemed walk in covenant faithfulness.
Grace does not abolish righteousness.
Grace restores people to the One whose righteousness they violated.
THE FOUR WITNESSES ARE THE SAFETY SYSTEM
This is why Ephraim’s Cry uses the Four-Witness Standard.
TORAH.
Foundation and primary authority.
PROPHETS.
Covenant enforcement, correction, warning, and restoration.
WRITINGS.
Covenant truth demonstrated through history, wisdom, worship, consequence, and experience.
APOSTOLIC WITNESS.
Eyewitness testimony confirming covenant continuity through Yahusha.
A doctrine does not become Scriptural because one isolated verse can be made to sound supportive.
The doctrine must survive the witnesses.
If an interpretation requires Sha’ul to overthrow Moshe, something is wrong.
If it requires Yahusha to contradict the Prophets, something is wrong.
If it requires Hebrews to erase Jeremiah while quoting Jeremiah, something is wrong.
If it requires the New Covenant to abolish the Torah the New Covenant explicitly writes upon the heart, something is wrong.
CHECK THE ARROW.
SCRIPTURE DOES NOT NEED TO BE RESCUED FROM SCRIPTURE
This is another essential principle.
When two passages appear to contradict each other, do not immediately decide one passage has replaced the other.
Slow down.
Examine the categories.
Examine the context.
Examine the words.
Examine the covenant administration.
Examine the chronology.
Very often, the contradiction exists only because an interpretation has forced two different statements into the same category.
Scripture does not need us to make one witness disappear so another can survive.
Let all the witnesses speak.
THEOLOGICAL SYSTEMS MUST REMAIN UNDER SCRIPTURE
Tradition is not the standard.
Denomination is not the standard.
Rabbinic authority is not the standard.
A seminary is not the standard.
A commentary is not the standard.
A pastor is not the standard.
A teacher is not the standard.
Ephraim’s Cry is not the standard.
Greg Witter is not the standard.
SCRIPTURE IS THE STANDARD.
Every teacher must remain testable.
Every teaching must remain testable.
Every interpretation must remain testable.
Every arrow must remain testable.
The moment any teacher’s interpretation becomes immune from Scriptural examination, the authority order has been reversed.
APPLY THE SAME STANDARD TO YOURSELF
This is where the teaching becomes uncomfortable.
It is easy to test somebody else’s arrows.
It is much harder to test our own.
We all inherit theology.
We all inherit assumptions.
We all develop conclusions.
We all become comfortable with particular interpretations.
Some of those interpretations may have been held for decades.
That does not make them Scripture.
If Scripture overturns one of our arrows, erase the arrow.
Do not protect it because you taught it before.
Do not protect it because you wrote it in a book.
Do not protect it because people expect you to defend it.
Do not protect it because admitting error is uncomfortable.
Truth matters more than our theological reputation.
“TEST ALL THINGS”
1 Thessalonians 5:21 says:
«“Prove all things. Hold fast what is good.”»
That includes teachings we agree with.
That includes teachers we respect.
That includes inherited traditions.
That includes our own conclusions.
Testing is not rebellion against truth.
Testing protects truth from human distortion.
If something is true, Scriptural examination will not destroy it.
If an arrow cannot survive examination, it should not survive.
THE WATCHMAN WARNING
Do not be intimidated by presentation.
A beautiful graphic can be wrong.
A polished sermon can be wrong.
A bestselling book can be wrong.
A Greek word study can be wrong.
A Hebrew word study can be wrong.
A theological degree can be wrong.
A centuries-old tradition can be wrong.
A popular teacher can be wrong.
And we can be wrong.
The question is never:
“WHO SAID IT?”
The question is:
“WHAT DOES SCRIPTURE ESTABLISH?”
Never surrender discernment because someone has surrounded an interpretation with Bible references.
Look at the verses.
Then look at the arrows.
THE FINAL ARROW TEST
From this point forward, when someone presents a doctrinal claim, apply this test.
1. IDENTIFY THE CLAIM.
What exactly is being asserted?
2. IDENTIFY THE VERSES.
What does each passage actually say?
3. REMOVE THE ARROWS.
What interpretation has been placed between the passages?
4. READ THE CONTEXT.
What is the writer actually discussing?
5. DEFINE THE TERMS.
What do the relevant words mean in this context?
6. CHECK THE CHRONOLOGY.
Does the proposed interpretation reverse Scriptural order?
7. DISTINGUISH THE CATEGORIES.
Existence?
Codification?
Covenant?
Sign?
Priesthood?
Sacrifice?
Justification?
Obedience?
8. APPLY THE FOUR WITNESSES.
Torah.
Prophets.
Writings.
Apostolic Witness.
9. TEST THE CONCLUSION.
Does the conclusion actually follow?
10. ERASE ANY ARROW SCRIPTURE CANNOT SUPPORT.
That is disciplined Scriptural study.
THE DECISIVE CONCLUSION OF THE SERIES
The claim examined throughout this series was:
MESSIAH ABOLISHED TORAH.
We tested the major arrows used to construct that conclusion.
“Added.”
“430 years later.”
“Sabbath sign.”
“Until Messiah.”
“Obsolete.”
“Telos.”
Every verse had to remain standing.
Every witness had to remain standing.
And when the whole counsel of Elohim remained on the table, the abolition timeline could not survive without importing conclusions Scripture itself did not establish.
The Scriptural testimony remains:
Avraham obeyed Yahuah’s commandments, statutes, and Torah before Sinai.
Sin and transgression existed before Sinai.
Sabbath was established at Creation and functioned before Sinai.
The promise preceded Sinai and could not be annulled by what came later.
Torah is not against the promise.
Faith does not nullify Torah.
Yahusha did not come to destroy Torah or the Prophets.
The New Covenant writes Torah upon the heart.
The Ruach causes Yahuah’s people to walk in His ways.
The Prophets picture Torah going forth from Tsiyon.
The Writings call Torah perfect and truth.
Sha’ul calls Torah holy, righteous, good, and spiritual.
Revelation identifies the faithful as those guarding the commandments of Elohim and the faith of Yahusha.
Those witnesses must remain on the table.
THE VERSES MAY BE SCRIPTURE — THE ARROWS ARE INTERPRETATION
That is the warning.
That is the method.
That is the standard.
And that is the responsibility.
Never give human interpretation the authority belonging only to Scripture.
The verses may be perfectly accurate.
The references may be perfectly legitimate.
The quotations may be perfectly correct.
But the connection drawn between those verses is still an interpretation until Scripture establishes it.
Therefore:
DO NOT MERELY TEST THE VERSES.
TEST THE ARROWS.
THE ARROW MUST NEVER CONTROL THE VERSE
Once a theological system has been built, there is a tremendous temptation to protect the system.
Then something dangerous happens.
Instead of allowing Scripture to determine the arrow, the arrow begins determining how Scripture is allowed to be read.
A passage that supports the system is emphasized.
A passage that challenges the system is redefined.
Another passage is dismissed as belonging to another time.
Another is declared obsolete.
Another is treated as merely ceremonial.
Another is explained away through theology imported from somewhere else.
Eventually, Scripture is no longer testing the system.
THE SYSTEM IS CONTROLLING SCRIPTURE.
That order must be reversed.
Scripture judges the arrow.
The arrow never judges Scripture.
NEVER START WITH THE CONCLUSION
This is one of the disciplines we must recover.
Do not begin with:
“Torah was abolished.”
and then search for verses that can be arranged to support it.
Do not begin with:
“The Sabbath ended.”
and then search for verses that can be connected to prove it.
Do not begin with:
“The New Covenant replaced Yisra’el.”
and then force the Prophets to fit the conclusion.
Do not begin with:
“Grace eliminated obedience.”
and then interpret Sha’ul against Moshe and Yahusha.
Begin with the text.
Allow Scripture to establish the categories.
Allow Scripture to establish the chronology.
Allow Scripture to establish the definitions.
Allow Scripture to establish the connections.
Then allow Scripture to establish the conclusion.
That is text-first study.
TRUE VERSES CAN STILL BE CONNECTED FALSELY
This must remain one of the clearest lessons from this series.
Consider the structure:
TRUE VERSE → FALSE CONNECTION → TRUE VERSE
Both verses can be completely true.
The problem is the relationship being asserted between them.
For example:
The first Covenant became obsolete.
True.
Therefore Torah became obsolete.
That connection must be proven.
Or:
Messiah is the telos of Torah.
True.
Therefore Messiah terminated Torah.
That connection must be proven.
Or:
The Sabbath was a sign between Yahuah and Yisra’el.
True.
Therefore Sabbath did not exist before Sinai.
That connection must be proven.
A true statement on both sides of an arrow does not make the arrow true.
That is why:
THE ARROW CARRIES THE BURDEN OF PROOF.
THE WHOLE COUNSEL OF ELOHIM IS THE CONTROL
No interpretation should be permitted to survive by silencing witnesses.
If Torah contradicts the interpretation, investigate the interpretation.
If the Prophets contradict it, investigate the interpretation.
If the Writings contradict it, investigate the interpretation.
If Yahusha contradicts it, investigate the interpretation.
If the Apostolic Witness contradicts it, investigate the interpretation.
Do not immediately assume Scripture changed its mind.
Do not immediately create contradictory dispensations.
Do not immediately declare the earlier witness obsolete.
First ask:
HAVE WE DRAWN THE WRONG ARROW?
Very often, that is where the problem lies.
THE COVENANT STORY REMAINS CONTINUOUS
The whole counsel of Elohim tells one covenantal story.
Yahuah calls.
Yahuah promises.
Yahuah redeems.
Yahuah instructs.
Humanity rebels.
Yahuah judges.
The Prophets warn.
Yahuah promises restoration.
Messiah comes.
Messiah redeems.
The New Covenant transforms the heart.
The Ruach HaKodesh empowers covenant faithfulness.
The Kingdom advances toward restoration.
That storyline does not require Yahuah to become the enemy of His own previous revelation.
Yahusha does not arrive to rescue humanity from His Father’s righteousness.
He rescues humanity from sin.
That distinction changes everything.
MESSIAH IS NOT THE ENEMY OF TORAH
Yahusha is the Word made flesh.
He walked in perfect obedience.
He kept His Father’s commandments.
He taught righteousness.
He confronted human traditions that nullified Yahuah’s commands.
He called people to repentance.
He fulfilled the Messianic promises.
He became the sacrifice for sin.
He mediates the New Covenant.
He sends the Ruach.
Nothing about that requires:
MESSIAH VERSUS TORAH.
That conflict is theological, not Scriptural.
Yahusha says:
«“If you love Me, you shall guard My commands.”
— John 14:15»
Love and obedience stand together.
GRACE IS NOT THE ENEMY OF OBEDIENCE
Grace answers the problem of guilt.
Grace does not redefine guilt as righteousness.
Grace provides redemption we cannot earn.
Grace does not teach us that rebellion no longer matters.
Romans 6 asks whether grace permits continued sin.
Sha’ul answers:
CERTAINLY NOT.
Therefore, the Scriptural movement is not:
TORAH → FAILURE → GRACE → NO OBEDIENCE
It is:
SIN → REDEMPTION → TRANSFORMED HEART → COVENANT FAITHFULNESS
Grace does not destroy obedience.
Grace restores the redeemed so they can walk faithfully with their Redeemer.
THE NEW COVENANT IS NOT THE ENEMY OF TORAH
Jeremiah settles this directly.
The New Covenant promise says:
«“I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts.”
— Jeremiah 31:33»
That verse should stop us from drawing:
NEW COVENANT → NO TORAH.
The arrow contradicts the verse.
The New Covenant moves Torah inward.
From stone to heart.
From external witness to internalized covenant faithfulness.
From rebellious hearts toward transformed hearts.
That is restoration.
Not lawlessness.
THE RUACH IS NOT THE ENEMY OF TORAH
Ezekiel 36:27 says:
«“And I shall put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My laws, and guard My right-rulings and do them.”»
That is explicit.
The Ruach HaKodesh does not lead Yahuah’s people away from His ways.
The Ruach empowers them to walk in His ways.
Therefore:
SPIRIT → NO TORAH
is another false arrow.
Scripture gives us:
SPIRIT → WALK IN MY LAWS.
Let the verse determine the arrow.
FAITH IS NOT THE ENEMY OF TORAH
Romans 3:31 says:
«“Do we then nullify the Torah through the belief? Let it not be! On the contrary, we establish the Torah.”»
Again, Scripture directly answers the question.
Does faith nullify Torah?
NO.
Yet theology repeatedly draws:
FAITH → TORAH ABOLISHED.
Sha’ul says:
FAITH → TORAH ESTABLISHED.
Which arrow should govern?
The one Scripture actually gives us.
THE FINAL FOUR-WITNESS TEST
Put the entire claim before the witnesses one final time.
TORAH
Avraham obeyed Yahuah’s commandments, statutes, and Torah.
Sin existed before Sinai.
Sabbath existed before Sinai.
Yahuah redeemed before giving covenant instruction.
Torah calls for love of Yahuah from the heart.
PROPHETS
The Prophets call Yisra’el back to Torah.
They promise restoration.
They promise a new heart.
They promise the Ruach.
They promise Torah written within.
They picture Torah going forth from Tsiyon.
They picture all flesh worshiping before Yahuah from Sabbath to Sabbath.
WRITINGS
The Torah of Yahuah is perfect.
Torah is truth.
Yahuah’s righteous judgments endure.
The blessed person delights in Yahuah’s Torah.
APOSTOLIC WITNESS
Yahusha did not come to destroy Torah.
Faith establishes Torah.
Torah is holy, righteous, good, and spiritual.
The New Covenant writes Torah upon the heart.
The Ruach produces obedience.
The faithful guard the commandments of Elohim and the faith of Yahusha.
Now compare those witnesses with the claim:
MESSIAH ABOLISHED TORAH.
The claim cannot survive without redefining, ignoring, compartmentalizing, or overriding multiple witnesses.
That is the problem.
THE WATCHMAN WARNING
There comes a point when we must stop asking whether a theological tradition is comfortable with the evidence.
Truth does not require tradition’s permission.
Scripture does not need denominational approval.
Yahuah’s Word does not become false because generations of people were taught something different.
But neither should we become arrogant.
The same standard we apply to inherited theology must be applied to ourselves.
We are not infallible.
Our charts are not infallible.
Our teachings are not infallible.
Our conclusions are not infallible.
Only Scripture carries Scriptural authority.
Therefore, remain teachable.
Remain testable.
Remain willing to correct an arrow.
But never surrender what Scripture actually establishes merely because correction is unpopular.
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STUDENT
You are responsible for what you accept as truth.
Do not outsource discernment.
Do not say:
“My pastor said.”
“My denomination teaches.”
“My rabbi said.”
“My favorite teacher explained.”
“My commentary says.”
“Everyone knows.”
None of those answers the question.
WHAT DOES SCRIPTURE ESTABLISH?
Search it.
Test it.
Compare it.
Read the context.
Put the witnesses on the table.
Then hold fast to what survives the test.
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TEACHER
Teachers carry an even greater responsibility.
If we place an arrow between two verses, we must be able to defend that arrow.
If we make a doctrinal conclusion, we must distinguish the conclusion from the verse.
If Scripture challenges our teaching, we correct the teaching.
We do not manipulate Scripture to protect ourselves.
We do not hide behind credentials.
We do not hide behind tradition.
We do not hide behind claimed revelation.
We do not place our interpretation in Yahuah’s mouth.
The teacher must remain under the Word he teaches.
THE DECISIVE POINT
A Bible reference proves the verse exists.
It does not automatically prove the theology built between the verses.
That is where this series began.
And that is where it ends.
The verses carry the authority of Scripture.
The arrows carry the burden of proof.
Therefore:
SHOW THE VERSE.
SHOW THE CONTEXT.
SHOW THE CONNECTION.
SHOW THE WITNESSES.
PROVE THE ARROW.
If the arrow survives Scripture, hold it.
If the arrow does not survive Scripture:
ERASE IT.
Do not erase the verse to save the arrow.
Do not silence a witness to save the system.
Do not redefine righteousness to save a tradition.
Do not make Yahusha contradict Moshe.
Do not make Sha’ul contradict Yahusha.
Do not make Hebrews contradict Jeremiah.
Do not make the Apostolic Witness overthrow Torah and the Prophets.
LET SCRIPTURE INTERPRET SCRIPTURE.
WHERE THE SERIES LEAVES US
Seven teachings have brought us back to one governing discipline:
TEST THE ARROWS.
Part 1:
ADDED ≠ FIRST EXISTED.
Part 2:
430 YEARS LATER ≠ NOTHING EXISTED BEFORE.
Part 3:
COVENANT SIGN ≠ CREATED AT THAT MOMENT.
Part 4:
UNTIL MESSIAH ≠ AUTOMATIC ABOLITION.
Part 5:
FIRST COVENANT OBSOLETE ≠ TORAH OBSOLETE.
Part 6:
TELOS ≠ AUTOMATIC TERMINATION.
Part 7:
BIBLE VERSES ON A CHART ≠ THEOLOGICAL CONCLUSION PROVEN.
That is the series.
Not an argument for earning salvation.
Not an argument against grace.
Not an argument that covenant administrations never change.
Not an argument that priesthood, sacrifice, mediation, and covenantal functions never change.
The argument is much simpler:
DO NOT CLAIM SCRIPTURE SAYS WHAT SCRIPTURE DOES NOT SAY.
Distinguish the verse from the interpretation.
Distinguish the evidence from the conclusion.
Distinguish the Word of Elohim from the arrows human beings draw between His words.
FINAL WATCHMAN CHARGE
Study carefully.
Read slowly.
Test relentlessly.
Remain humble enough to erase your own arrows.
Remain courageous enough to challenge inherited arrows.
Keep every witness on the table.
Never sacrifice one passage to protect another.
Never give human interpretation the authority of Scripture.
And never confuse the number of Bible references surrounding a doctrine with proof that the doctrine is Biblical.
The question remains:
WHAT DO THE VERSES ACTUALLY ESTABLISH?
Then:
WHAT DID THE INTERPRETER ADD?
Then:
DOES THE ARROW SURVIVE THE WHOLE COUNSEL OF ELOHIM?
That is the test.
That is the discipline.
That is the responsibility.
THE VERSES ARE SCRIPTURE.
THE ARROWS ARE INTERPRETATION.
TEST THE ARROWS.
PROVE THE CONCLUSION.
LET SCRIPTURE INTERPRET SCRIPTURE.
