His Appointments. His Calendar. His Covenant. His Kingdom.
The fall appointed times are approaching, and this calendar is designed to put the dates, biblical day counts, holy convocations, and work restrictions together in one place. These are not man-made religious holidays. They are the appointed times established by 𐤄𐤅𐤄𐤉 (Yahuah) in His Torah and carried throughout the witness of Scripture.
The foundation for the 2026 fall calendar is the beginning of the seventh biblical month. The astronomical conjunction occurs Friday, September 11, 2026, at approximately 6:26 AM Jerusalem time. Under the calendar reckoning we are using, the conjunction occurs during the daylight portion of the biblical day, and the following sundown begins Day 1 of the seventh month. Therefore, Month 7 begins Friday, September 11 at sundown.
Biblical days are not reckoned from midnight to midnight. They are counted evening to evening, sundown to sundown. Torah itself gives us this pattern when speaking of Yom Kippur: “from even unto even” (Leviticus 23:32). That distinction matters because simply putting a Gregorian date on an appointed time can cause confusion. Each date below therefore identifies when the biblical day actually begins.
YOM TERUAH — MONTH 7, DAY 1
Friday, September 11 at sundown through Saturday, September 12 at sundown.
Yom Teruah is a holy convocation and a commanded day of rest from ordinary work. It is the Day of Shouting/Trumpeting, established in Leviticus 23:23–25 and Numbers 29:1–6. This is a day to assemble, sound the shofar, remember, repent, and turn our attention toward the King and what lies ahead.
YOM KIPPUR — MONTH 7, DAY 10
Sunday, September 20 at sundown through Monday, September 21 at sundown.
Yom Kippur is a holy convocation and a commanded no-work day. Torah commands us to afflict ourselves on this day and specifically identifies its boundary as evening to evening. This is a solemn appointed time of fasting, examination, repentance, humility, and seeking forgiveness before 𐤄𐤅𐤄𐤉 (Yahuah). See Leviticus 23:26–32 and Numbers 29:7–11.
SUKKOT — MONTH 7, DAYS 15–21
Begins Friday, September 25 at sundown and continues through Friday, October 2 at sundown.
Sukkot is the seven-day Feast of Tabernacles. But an important distinction needs to be understood: Torah does NOT command seven consecutive no-work days during Sukkot.
Sukkot Day 1 — Month 7, Day 15: Friday, September 25 at sundown through Saturday, September 26 at sundown. This is a HOLY CONVOCATION AND NO-WORK DAY according to Leviticus 23:34–35. In 2026, Day 1 also falls on the weekly Sabbath, giving us both the appointed-time rest and weekly Sabbath on the same biblical day.
Sukkot Days 2–7: Saturday, September 26 at sundown through Friday, October 2 at sundown. WORK IS PERMITTED. These remain days of Sukkot—days for rejoicing, dwelling, fellowship, thanksgiving, teaching, remembering, and celebrating before 𐤄𐤅𐤄𐤉 (Yahuah)—but Torah does not designate Days 2–7 collectively as commanded no-work days.
That distinction is important. We should neither subtract from Torah nor add restrictions that Torah itself does not command.
Then, when the seven days of Sukkot have been completed, we arrive at the Eighth Day.
SHEMINI ATZERET — THE EIGHTH DAY — MONTH 7, DAY 22
Friday, October 2 at sundown through Saturday, October 3 at sundown.
Shemini Atzeret is a HOLY CONVOCATION AND COMMANDED NO-WORK DAY according to Leviticus 23:36 and 23:39. In 2026, the Eighth Day also falls on the weekly Sabbath.
So here is the 2026 fall calendar at a glance:
September 11 sundown — Yom Teruah begins — HOLY CONVOCATION / NO WORK
September 20 sundown — Yom Kippur begins — HOLY CONVOCATION / NO WORK
September 25 sundown — Sukkot Day 1 begins — HOLY CONVOCATION / NO WORK / ALSO WEEKLY SABBATH
September 26 sundown through October 2 sundown — Sukkot Days 2–7 — WORK PERMITTED
October 2 sundown — Shemini Atzeret begins — HOLY CONVOCATION / NO WORK / ALSO WEEKLY SABBATH
These appointments are not merely historical memorials. They teach us the covenant, rehearse the Kingdom, train us in obedience, and keep the people of 𐤄𐤅𐤄𐤉 (Yahuah) moving according to His time rather than ours.
The question is not whether modern culture recognizes these days. The question is whether the King appointed them.
He did.
“These are the feasts of Yahuah, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.” — Leviticus 23:4
