THE FATHER AND THE SON
PART 12 — THE KINGDOM APPLICATION
Why This Truth Matters for Every Believer
After examining the Father, the Son, the Ruach HaKodesh, divine agency, the meaning of oneness, the anointing of Messiah, and the testimony of the Four Witnesses, one question remains.
Why does any of this matter?
For many people, this discussion is merely theological. It becomes another debate to win, another doctrine to defend, or another argument to post on social media. But the Scriptures never reveal truth merely to satisfy intellectual curiosity. Elohim reveals truth so that His people might know Him, worship Him rightly, walk faithfully before Him, and prepare themselves for His coming Kingdom.
Every doctrine ultimately has practical consequences.
If our understanding of the Father is distorted, our worship becomes distorted.
If our understanding of the Son is distorted, our discipleship becomes distorted.
If our understanding of the Ruach HaKodesh is distorted, our walk becomes distorted.
Truth is never given simply to increase knowledge.
Truth is given to produce transformation.
Yahusha Himself declared,
“And this is everlasting life, that they should know You, the only true Elohim, and Yahusha Messiah whom You have sent.” (John 17:3)
Notice the language carefully.
Eternal life is not merely believing certain facts.
It is knowing.
Knowing the Father.
Knowing the Son.
Living in covenant relationship with both.
Throughout this series we have seen that Yahusha never came to replace the Father.
He came to reveal the Father.
Likewise, the Father never diminishes the Son.
He continually glorifies Him.
The Ruach HaKodesh likewise glorifies the Son while accomplishing the Father’s purposes.
Everything in Scripture moves toward one magnificent goal:
The restoration of all things under the reign of Elohim.
This is the Gospel of the Kingdom.
The Gospel is not merely about escaping judgment.
It is about restoring what was lost in Eden.
The Father planned redemption.
The Son accomplished redemption.
The Ruach applies redemption.
The Kingdom completes redemption.
Every part of the Father’s plan moves toward the day when the kingdoms of this world become the Kingdom of our Master and of His Messiah (Revelation 11:15).
This truth should produce humility.
One of the greatest dangers in theological discussion is pride.
Knowledge can easily become a weapon.
People begin fighting to defend systems instead of seeking the truth.
Paul warned,
“Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.” (1 Corinthians 8:1)
Our goal is not to become experts at winning arguments.
Our goal is to become faithful disciples.
If studying the relationship between the Father and the Son makes us more argumentative than loving, we have missed the purpose of the study.
Truth should produce humility.
Truth should produce worship.
Truth should produce obedience.
Truth should produce greater love for the Father and deeper devotion to the Son.
This study should also strengthen our confidence in the Scriptures.
Many believers become discouraged because they encounter seemingly difficult passages.
Yet again and again we have seen that Scripture never contradicts itself.
The apparent contradictions disappear when every witness is allowed to speak.
The Four Witnesses agree.
Torah agrees with the Prophets.
The Prophets agree with the Writings.
The Writings agree with the Apostolic Witness.
The Apostolic Witness confirms everything that came before it.
The Bible tells one story.
One covenant.
One Kingdom.
One Elohim.
One eternal purpose.
This understanding also changes the way we read the Scriptures.
Instead of asking,
“What verse proves my doctrine?”
we begin asking,
“What is Elohim revealing through the entire Bible?”
Instead of isolating verses, we begin tracing covenant themes.
Instead of building systems, we begin discovering relationships.
Instead of forcing philosophical categories upon the text, we begin allowing the text to define our understanding.
That is the Hebraic mindset.
This series has also shown us that false choices often produce false doctrines.
We do not have to choose between the Father’s glory and the Son’s glory.
We do not have to choose between unity and distinction.
We do not have to choose between covenant order and divine authority.
The Scriptures reveal all of these truths together.
The Father remains the Father.
The Son remains the Son.
The Ruach HaKodesh remains the Ruach.
The Father sends.
The Son comes.
The Ruach empowers.
The Kingdom advances.
Everything returns to the glory of Yahuah.
Perhaps the greatest lesson of all is this.
The Father desires to be known.
The Son desires to reveal Him.
The Ruach desires to lead us into that truth.
That invitation remains open today.
The question is not whether we can explain every mystery.
The question is whether we are willing to submit ourselves to what the Scriptures actually reveal.
We must resist the temptation to force the Bible into theological systems.
We must also resist the temptation to reject truths simply because they challenge long-held traditions.
Our responsibility is much simpler.
Believe what is written.
Reject what contradicts the whole counsel of Elohim.
Remain humble before the Word.
Walk in covenant faithfulness.
Love the Father.
Honor the Son.
Yield to the leading of the Ruach HaKodesh.
Prepare for the coming Kingdom.
That is the purpose of this study.
That is the purpose of every doctrine.
That is the purpose of every commandment.
That is the purpose of the Gospel of the Kingdom.
The Father is not the Son.
The Son is not the Father.
The Ruach HaKodesh is not the Father or the Son.
Yet together the whole counsel of Elohim reveals one magnificent testimony.
One Elohim.
One eternal covenant.
One glorious Kingdom.
One perfect plan of redemption.
One Messiah.
One Bride.
One coming King.
May we be found faithful when He returns.
