THE AWAKENING OF EPHRAIM
PART 18 — THE KINGDOM IS DRAWING NEAR
Preparing for the Return of the King and the Restoration of All Things
Every prophetic thread we have followed throughout this series ultimately leads to one destination.
The Kingdom.
The awakening points to the Kingdom.
The gathering points to the Kingdom.
The restoration points to the Kingdom.
The Gospel points to the Kingdom.
The Two Sticks point to the Kingdom.
The olive tree points to the Kingdom.
The fullness of the Gentiles points to the Kingdom.
The restoration of all Israel points to the Kingdom.
The greater Exodus points to the Kingdom.
Everything moves toward the Kingdom.
Yet one of the greatest problems in modern theology is that many people have reduced the Gospel to personal salvation while neglecting the Kingdom that Yahusha spent His ministry proclaiming.
The message of Yahusha was never merely:
“How do I get to heaven?”
The message of Yahusha was:
“The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
“The Kingdom of Elohim is near.”
“Repent, for the Kingdom is at hand.”
From the very beginning, the message was Kingdom.
The apostles preached the Kingdom.
The prophets pointed toward the Kingdom.
The Psalms anticipate the Kingdom.
Torah establishes the foundation for the Kingdom.
The entire Bible is a Kingdom book.
The Bible begins with a King.
The Bible ends with a King.
The Bible begins with a Kingdom lost.
The Bible ends with a Kingdom restored.
Everything between those two points is the story of redemption and restoration.
One of the greatest misunderstandings in modern Christianity is the belief that the ultimate goal is escaping the earth and going somewhere else forever.
That is not the biblical story.
The biblical story is the restoration of the earth under the authority of the King.
The biblical story is the restoration of the Kingdom.
The biblical story is the return of the rightful ruler.
This is why Scripture repeatedly speaks of inheritance.
An inheritance is not something abandoned.
An inheritance is something received.
Abraham was promised an inheritance.
Israel was promised an inheritance.
The saints are promised an inheritance.
The meek shall inherit the earth.
The Kingdom comes to earth.
The New Jerusalem comes down.
The King returns.
The throne is established.
The nations are ruled in righteousness.
The knowledge of Yahuah fills the earth as the waters cover the sea.
That is the prophetic destination.
This is why the awakening matters.
The awakening is not merely about discovering identity.
The awakening is preparation for citizenship in the coming Kingdom.
The awakening is preparation for service in the coming Kingdom.
The awakening is preparation for the return of the King.
The awakening is preparation for the restoration of all things spoken by the prophets.
This is exactly what Peter declared in Acts 3.
He speaks of the times of restoration of all things.
Not some things.
All things.
Everything broken by sin.
Everything damaged by rebellion.
Everything corrupted by the kingdoms of men.
Everything distorted by Babylon.
Everything fractured by division.
Everything wounded by exile.
Everything scattered by judgment.
All of it moves toward restoration.
This is why the Kingdom cannot be separated from the restoration of Israel.
The Kingdom cannot be separated from the gathering of the nations.
The Kingdom cannot be separated from the return of Messiah.
The Kingdom cannot be separated from covenant.
The Kingdom cannot be separated from Torah.
The Kingdom cannot be separated from righteousness.
The Kingdom cannot be separated from justice.
The Kingdom cannot be separated from obedience.
The coming Kingdom is not democracy.
The coming Kingdom is not politics.
The coming Kingdom is not human government improved.
The coming Kingdom is divine government restored.
The King will rule.
The nations will learn His ways.
The Torah will go forth from Zion.
The rebellion of the nations will end.
The governments of men will be replaced by the government of Elohim.
This is why Daniel becomes so important.
Daniel sees kingdoms rise.
Daniel sees kingdoms fall.
Daniel watches empire after empire dominate the earth.
Yet every earthly kingdom eventually passes away.
Then Daniel sees a stone cut without human hands.
That stone grows.
That stone strikes the kingdoms of men.
That stone becomes a mountain filling the whole earth.
The stone is the Kingdom.
The mountain is the Kingdom.
The King is Yahusha.
The destination is the Kingdom.
The same reality appears throughout Revelation.
Babylon falls.
The beast falls.
The kingdoms of men fall.
The rebellion of the nations ends.
Then the King appears.
The Kingdom is established.
The saints reign with Messiah.
The promises are fulfilled.
The inheritance is received.
The restoration is completed.
This is why the greater Exodus is so important.
The Exodus was never simply about leaving Egypt.
The Exodus was about entering covenant.
The Exodus was about preparing a people for the Kingdom.
The second and greater Exodus serves the same purpose.
The gathering prepares the people.
The wilderness prepares the people.
The judgments prepare the people.
The restoration prepares the people.
The awakening prepares the people.
Everything moves toward the Kingdom.
One of the things that is often overlooked in this discussion is the prophetic timing.
While Yahusha clearly taught that no man knows the day or the hour, He never taught that His people would be completely ignorant of the season.
In fact, He repeatedly rebuked those who could discern the weather but could not discern the signs of the times.
Scripture consistently calls us to watch.
To be alert.
To be awake.
To understand the season.
To recognize the prophetic indicators.
To understand where we stand within the unfolding plan of Elohim.
This is where the prophecy of creation becomes important.
The six days of creation were not merely about creation.
They were also prophetic.
A day with Yahuah is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day (Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8).
The creation week establishes a prophetic pattern.
Six days of labor.
Then Sabbath.
Six thousand years of human history.
Then the Kingdom Sabbath.
Six thousand years of man’s government.
Then Messiah’s government.
Six thousand years of preparation.
Then the reign of the King.
Throughout Scripture, the sixth day is the preparation day.
The day before Sabbath.
The day when the work is completed.
The day when the house is put in order.
The day when preparation reaches its conclusion.
The day when everything is made ready for the arrival of the Sabbath.
That pattern should not be ignored.
Whether one agrees with every chronology calculation or not, it is impossible to deny that we are living in a time when prophetic convergence is accelerating.
The signs are increasing.
The pressures are increasing.
The shaking is increasing.
The deception is increasing.
The lawlessness is increasing.
The instability of nations is increasing.
The spiritual hunger is increasing.
The awakening is increasing.
The gathering is increasing.
The restoration is increasing.
The Gospel of the Kingdom is increasing.
The dry bones are awakening.
The watchmen are sounding the alarm.
The remnant is responding.
The pieces are moving into place.
This is why preparation becomes one of the central responsibilities of every believer.
Preparation is not fear.
Preparation is obedience.
Preparation is not panic.
Preparation is wisdom.
Preparation is not speculation.
Preparation is discipleship.
The wise virgins prepared.
The faithful servants prepared.
The watchmen prepared.
The priests prepared.
The people prepared.
Preparation has always been part of covenant life.
The question therefore becomes:
What should we be preparing?
First, we should be preparing our hearts.
Repentance must be genuine.
Faith must be genuine.
Obedience must be genuine.
Our relationship with Yahuah must be genuine.
Second, we should be preparing our garments.
Scripture repeatedly speaks of white garments.
Spotless garments.
Pure garments.
A bride making herself ready.
The preparation of the end of the age is not merely external.
It is internal.
Character matters.
Holiness matters.
Faithfulness matters.
Obedience matters.
Third, we should be preparing our households.
Joshua declared:
“As for me and my house, we will serve Yahuah.”
The preparation day is not merely individual.
It is family preparation.
Teaching our children.
Discipling our families.
Building covenant homes.
Establishing biblical foundations.
Preparing future generations.
Fourth, we should be preparing our witness.
The Gospel of the Kingdom must be proclaimed.
The truth must be spoken.
The warning must be given.
The invitation must be extended.
The lost must hear.
The scattered must hear.
The nations must hear.
This is not a time for silence.
This is a time for proclamation.
This is a time for teaching.
This is a time for discipleship.
This is a time for sounding the shofar.
This is a time for declaring the Kingdom.
This is a time for preparing the way of the King.
This is why the watchmen continue sounding the alarm.
The watchmen are not merely warning about judgment.
The watchmen are preparing people for the King.
The watchmen are preparing people for the Kingdom.
The watchmen are preparing people for restoration.
The watchmen are preparing people for the fulfillment of prophecy.
This is also why the Gospel of the Kingdom must go to the ends of the earth.
The Gospel is not merely a message of forgiveness.
It is a message of allegiance.
It is a call to repentance.
It is a call to return.
It is a call to covenant.
It is a call to citizenship.
It is a call to submit to the King.
It is a call to prepare for His reign.
The awakening of Ephraim therefore serves a Kingdom purpose.
The gathering serves a Kingdom purpose.
The restoration serves a Kingdom purpose.
The greater Exodus serves a Kingdom purpose.
The remnant serves a Kingdom purpose.
The watchmen serve a Kingdom purpose.
Everything serves the purpose of preparing for the return of the King.
This is why hope remains.
Not because the world is improving.
Not because governments will save us.
Not because institutions will save us.
But because the King is returning.
The Shepherd is gathering His flock.
The remnant is awakening.
The scattered are returning.
The covenant is being restored.
The Gospel of the Kingdom is advancing.
The greater Exodus is approaching.
The restoration of all Israel is unfolding.
The Kingdom is drawing near.
And soon the prayer taught by Yahusha will be fulfilled in its fullness:
“Your Kingdom come.
Your will be done.
On earth as it is in heaven.”
