THE AWAKENING OF EPHRAIM
PART 10 — THE WATCHMEN ARE AWAKENING
Why the Message Is Increasing Around the World
One of the most remarkable developments of our generation is the growing number of people around the world who are questioning inherited traditions, returning to Scripture, rediscovering covenant, and seeking the ancient paths.
This is not happening in one city.
This is not happening in one nation.
This is not happening in one denomination.
This is not happening in one movement.
It is happening globally.
Across North America.
Across South America.
Across Europe.
Across Africa.
Across Asia.
Across Australia.
Across the islands of the sea.
The same questions are being asked.
The same discoveries are being made.
The same Scriptures are being examined.
The same traditions are being challenged.
The same call to restoration is being heard.
For many people this seems strange.
For others it seems coincidental.
For still others it appears to be a new movement.
Yet from a prophetic perspective, it should not surprise us at all.
Yahuah has always raised up watchmen before major prophetic events.
Throughout Scripture, watchmen appear before judgment.
Watchmen appear before restoration.
Watchmen appear before national repentance.
Watchmen appear before covenant renewal.
Watchmen appear before major shifts in redemptive history.
The watchman is not a modern invention.
The watchman is a biblical office.
The watchman is a biblical responsibility.
The watchman is a biblical calling.
One of the clearest examples appears in Ezekiel 33.
Yahuah declares:
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the House of Israel.”
Notice carefully.
A watchman is appointed.
A watchman is not self-created.
A watchman is assigned.
A watchman receives a message.
A watchman delivers a warning.
A watchman sounds an alarm.
A watchman points people back to Yahuah.
The responsibility of the watchman is not popularity.
The responsibility of the watchman is faithfulness.
The watchman does not determine whether people listen.
The watchman is responsible for delivering the message.
This principle appears throughout Scripture.
Isaiah was a watchman.
Jeremiah was a watchman.
Ezekiel was a watchman.
Hosea was a watchman.
The prophets repeatedly stood upon the walls warning the people.
Sometimes they were heard.
Often they were rejected.
Yet they remained faithful.
This is why the awakening taking place today is so significant.
Many people are hearing the alarm.
Many people are hearing the warning.
Many people are hearing the call to return.
Many people are hearing the call to repentance.
Many people are hearing the call to covenant restoration.
The watchmen are sounding the shofar.
The question is whether people will listen.
Isaiah 62 provides another powerful picture.
“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; all day and all night continually they do not keep silent.”
Notice the characteristic of the watchman.
The watchman does not remain silent.
The watchman speaks.
The watchman warns.
The watchman teaches.
The watchman reminds.
The watchman proclaims.
The watchman prepares.
The watchman does not sleep through the danger.
The watchman does not ignore approaching judgment.
The watchman does not remain silent when truth is being compromised.
The watchman sounds the alarm.
This becomes especially important when we understand the awakening of Ephraim.
If the scattered are awakening, someone must announce it.
If covenant is being restored, someone must teach it.
If the Gospel of the Kingdom must be proclaimed, someone must proclaim it.
If the King is coming, someone must prepare the people.
This is the work of the watchman.
One of the greatest misconceptions about the watchman is that the watchman exists merely to predict future events.
That is not the primary function of the biblical watchman.
The primary function is covenant faithfulness.
The primary function is warning.
The primary function is calling people back to Yahuah.
The primary function is preparing the people for what is coming.
This is exactly what Jeremiah did.
Jeremiah repeatedly called the people back to covenant.
Jeremiah repeatedly warned of coming judgment.
Jeremiah repeatedly pleaded with the people to repent.
Yet most refused.
The same pattern appears throughout biblical history.
The watchman warns.
The people choose.
The watchman delivers the message.
The people decide whether they will hear.
This is why the awakening often produces opposition.
Truth exposes error.
Light exposes darkness.
Restoration exposes compromise.
The call to covenant exposes lawlessness.
The call to obedience exposes rebellion.
The call to repentance exposes pride.
Not everyone welcomes that message.
Not everyone wants restoration.
Not everyone wants truth.
Not everyone wants to abandon traditions.
Not everyone wants to examine inherited beliefs.
Yet the watchman sounds the alarm anyway.
Because the responsibility is not to make people comfortable.
The responsibility is to be faithful.
Jeremiah 6:16 reveals another important aspect of the watchman’s role:
“Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it.”
The watchman points toward the ancient paths.
The watchman points toward covenant.
The watchman points toward Scripture.
The watchman points toward truth.
The watchman points toward the Kingdom.
The watchman does not invent a new path.
The watchman points back to the path Yahuah already established.
But there is another dimension to the watchman’s calling that is often overlooked.
The watchman is not merely warning about future events.
The watchman is identifying present dangers.
The watchman is exposing false doctrine.
The watchman is exposing deception.
The watchman is exposing compromise.
The watchman is exposing mixture.
The watchman is exposing traditions that have replaced commandments.
The watchman is exposing religious systems that have obscured the truth.
The watchman is exposing wolves among the sheep.
The watchman is exposing counterfeit gospels.
The watchman is exposing false peace.
Jeremiah warned of leaders who cried, “Peace, peace,” when there was no peace (Jeremiah 6:14).
That warning remains relevant today.
Many are proclaiming comfort while ignoring repentance.
Many are proclaiming blessing while ignoring obedience.
Many are proclaiming grace while ignoring holiness.
Many are proclaiming salvation while ignoring covenant.
Many are proclaiming faith while ignoring the fruits of faith.
The true watchman cannot remain silent in the face of such deception.
The watchman must speak.
The watchman must warn.
The watchman must expose.
The watchman must call people back to the truth.
This is why the watchman’s message is often unpopular.
The watchman disturbs complacency.
The watchman challenges assumptions.
The watchman questions traditions.
The watchman confronts error.
The watchman forces decisions.
The watchman compels people to examine whether what they believe is actually supported by Scripture.
That is rarely comfortable.
Yet it is necessary.
Another reality that must be understood is that every major restoration in Scripture was preceded by voices crying out.
Noah warned before judgment came.
Moses warned before Egypt was judged.
Samuel warned Israel.
Elijah warned Israel.
Isaiah warned Judah.
Jeremiah warned Jerusalem.
John the Immerser warned before the coming of Messiah.
The pattern never changes.
Warning precedes judgment.
Warning precedes restoration.
Warning precedes awakening.
Warning precedes Kingdom transition.
This is why watchmen become increasingly important as prophetic fulfillment approaches.
As darkness increases, watchmen become more necessary.
As deception increases, watchmen become more necessary.
As lawlessness increases, watchmen become more necessary.
As confusion increases, watchmen become more necessary.
The darker the night, the more important the watchman becomes.
This is also why many watchmen appear simultaneously throughout Scripture.
Yahuah rarely raises up only one voice.
He raises up multiple witnesses.
Multiple watchmen.
Multiple warnings.
Multiple confirmations.
This follows the same principle established throughout Scripture.
A matter is established by witnesses.
The awakening of Ephraim is no different.
Across nations and continents, many are discovering the same truths.
Many are rediscovering covenant.
Many are rediscovering Sabbath.
Many are rediscovering the appointed times.
Many are rediscovering the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Many are rediscovering the Hebraic foundations of the faith.
Many are rediscovering the Four Witnesses.
This is not because everyone is following one teacher.
It is because Yahuah is awakening people through His Word.
The same Spirit is moving.
The same Scriptures are speaking.
The same warnings are being heard.
The same call is going forth.
This is one reason the awakening is occurring across so many nations simultaneously.
The message is not dependent upon a denomination.
The message is not dependent upon a headquarters.
The message is not dependent upon a religious institution.
The message comes from Scripture itself.
When people begin reading the Scriptures through the whole counsel of Elohim, many arrive at similar conclusions.
They begin asking questions.
They begin seeing patterns.
They begin discovering covenant.
They begin rediscovering Sabbath.
They begin rediscovering the appointed times.
They begin rediscovering the Gospel of the Kingdom.
They begin rediscovering the Hebraic foundations of the faith.
This is not because everyone is following the same teacher.
It is because the same Scriptures are speaking.
The same Spirit is moving.
The same call is going forth.
The same watchmen are sounding the alarm.
This is why the awakening cannot be reduced to a single ministry.
It cannot be reduced to a single teacher.
It cannot be reduced to a single movement.
The awakening is larger than any individual.
The awakening belongs to Yahuah.
He is the One gathering.
He is the One restoring.
He is the One awakening.
He is the One raising up watchmen.
The watchmen are merely servants carrying the message.
Another important reality must be understood.
Not everyone who claims to be a watchman is a watchman.
Scripture repeatedly warns about false prophets.
Scripture repeatedly warns about false shepherds.
Scripture repeatedly warns about false teachers.
The true watchman must be tested.
The message must be tested.
Everything must be examined through the Four Witnesses.
Torah.
Prophets.
Writings.
Apostolic Witnesses.
The watchman is not above Scripture.
The watchman is accountable to Scripture.
The watchman is judged by Scripture.
The watchman must submit to Scripture.
A true watchman never asks people to follow him.
A true watchman points people to Yahuah.
A true watchman points people to Yahusha.
A true watchman points people to covenant.
A true watchman points people to obedience.
A true watchman points people to the Kingdom.
A false watchman gathers followers.
A true watchman gathers people to the King.
This is why the awakening must remain anchored in the whole counsel of Elohim.
Without that anchor, deception enters.
Without that anchor, speculation replaces truth.
Without that anchor, personalities replace Scripture.
Without that anchor, movements replace covenant.
Without that anchor, emotion replaces discernment.
The true watchman always points beyond himself.
The true watchman points to Yahuah.
The true watchman points to Yahusha.
The true watchman points to covenant.
The true watchman points to the Kingdom.
The true watchman points to the coming King.
This is ultimately why the message is increasing around the world.
The King is gathering His people.
The scattered are awakening.
The covenant is being restored.
The Gospel of the Kingdom is advancing.
The dry bones are living.
The watchmen are sounding the alarm.
The remnant is being prepared.
The harvest is approaching.
The nations are being warned.
The Kingdom is drawing near.
And the world is moving closer to the fulfillment of the prophetic promises spoken by Yahuah through His servants the prophets.
The watchmen are awakening.
The shofar is sounding.
The call is going forth.
The walls are occupied.
The warning is being declared.
The Kingdom is being proclaimed.
The remnant is being prepared.
The King is coming.
The question is no longer whether the alarm is being sounded.
The question is who has ears to hear.
