THE AWAKENING OF EPHRAIM
PART 9 — THE FOUR WITNESSES OF ELOHIM
Restoring the Whole Counsel of Elohim
The awakening of Ephraim cannot be separated from the restoration of truth.
The restoration of truth cannot be separated from the restoration of the whole counsel of Elohim.
One of the greatest problems in modern religion is not a lack of Scripture.
It is a lack of context.
It is a lack of witnesses.
It is a lack of understanding how Yahuah establishes truth.
Many people build entire doctrines on a single verse.
Many build theology on isolated passages.
Many build belief systems on traditions inherited from men.
Many build entire denominations around a handful of texts.
Yet Scripture itself establishes a different pattern.
Truth is established by witnesses.
Not one witness.
Multiple witnesses.
This principle appears throughout Scripture.
Deuteronomy 19:15 declares:
“By the mouth of two or three witnesses a matter is established.”
Yahuah built this principle into His judicial system.
He built it into covenant law.
He built it into how truth is confirmed.
If that principle governs earthly matters, how much more should it govern doctrine?
This is where the Four Witnesses become critical.
From Genesis to Revelation, Yahuah provides four primary witnesses.
Torah.
Prophets.
Writings.
Apostolic Witnesses.
These four witnesses form the complete testimony of Scripture.
Remove one witness and the picture becomes distorted.
Ignore one witness and the understanding becomes incomplete.
Reject one witness and error inevitably follows.
This is precisely what has happened throughout much of religious history.
Some focus almost exclusively on the Apostolic Witnesses while neglecting Torah.
Some focus on Torah while neglecting the Prophets.
Some ignore the Writings entirely.
Some build doctrines from Paul while ignoring Moses.
Some build doctrines from isolated verses while ignoring the entire biblical narrative.
The result is confusion.
The result is contradiction.
The result is division.
The result is doctrines that would never survive examination by the whole counsel of Elohim.
The first witness is Torah.
Torah is the foundation.
Torah establishes covenant.
Torah establishes the Kingdom pattern.
Torah establishes sin.
Torah establishes righteousness.
Torah establishes the appointed times.
Torah establishes redemption.
Torah establishes the prophetic framework.
Without Torah, the rest of Scripture loses its foundation.
This is why virtually every major doctrine begins in Torah.
Creation begins in Torah.
Sabbath begins in Torah.
Covenant begins in Torah.
Redemption begins in Torah.
Kingdom begins in Torah.
The Messiah is foreshadowed in Torah.
The Gospel is embedded in Torah.
The second witness is the Prophets.
The Prophets do not replace Torah.
The Prophets call people back to Torah.
The Prophets expose covenant violations.
The Prophets call for repentance.
The Prophets announce judgment.
The Prophets reveal restoration.
The Prophets expand the covenant story.
The Prophets explain why judgment came.
The Prophets explain how restoration will occur.
When Isaiah speaks.
When Jeremiah speaks.
When Ezekiel speaks.
When Hosea speaks.
They are calling people back to covenant.
Not away from covenant.
The third witness is the Writings.
The Writings reveal wisdom.
The Writings reveal worship.
The Writings reveal Kingdom understanding.
The Writings reveal practical covenant living.
Psalms.
Proverbs.
Job.
Daniel.
Ezra.
Nehemiah.
Chronicles.
The Writings bridge doctrine and application.
They reveal how covenant truth is lived out in daily life.
The fourth witness is the Apostolic Witnesses.
The Apostolic Witnesses do not replace the previous witnesses.
They testify concerning Messiah.
They explain fulfillment.
They explain application.
They explain Kingdom expansion.
They explain the role of the Redeemer.
They explain the mission to the nations.
They explain the restoration taking place through Yahusha.
Yet they never stand independent of the previous witnesses.
This is why Yahusha repeatedly appealed to Moses, the Prophets, and the Writings.
After His resurrection, He explained the things concerning Himself from all three sections (Luke 24:27; Luke 24:44).
Yahusha Himself established the pattern.
Torah.
Prophets.
Writings.
Then the Apostolic Witnesses continue that testimony.
This is the biblical model.
This is the whole counsel of Elohim.
One of the greatest mistakes people make is allowing one witness to contradict another.
That can never happen.
Yahuah does not contradict Himself.
Truth does not contradict truth.
Scripture does not contradict Scripture.
If a doctrine requires one witness to overthrow another witness, the doctrine is flawed.
If an interpretation of Paul contradicts Moses, the interpretation is wrong.
If an interpretation of Hebrews contradicts Jeremiah, the interpretation is wrong.
If an interpretation of Revelation contradicts Torah, the interpretation is wrong.
The witnesses must agree.
The witnesses must harmonize.
The witnesses must confirm one another.
This is exactly how Yahusha taught.
When tempted in the wilderness, He appealed to Torah.
When debating religious leaders, He appealed to Torah.
When teaching about the Kingdom, He appealed to Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings.
The Messiah never taught independently of the witnesses.
The apostles followed the same pattern.
Peter appealed to the Prophets.
Paul appealed to Torah.
James appealed to Torah.
John appealed to Torah.
Again and again they established their teachings through the previous witnesses.
This becomes especially important when discussing the awakening of Ephraim.
Many people reject restoration because they have only examined one witness.
Some read only portions of the Apostolic Witnesses.
Some read only church traditions.
Some read only theological systems.
Yet when the Four Witnesses are allowed to speak together, a remarkable picture emerges.
Torah speaks of scattering.
The Prophets speak of scattering.
The Writings speak of scattering.
The Apostolic Witnesses speak of restoration.
Torah speaks of covenant.
The Prophets speak of covenant.
The Writings celebrate covenant.
The Apostolic Witnesses explain covenant restoration.
Torah speaks of Israel.
The Prophets speak of Israel.
The Writings speak of Israel.
The Apostolic Witnesses speak of Israel.
The witnesses agree.
The witnesses harmonize.
The witnesses tell one story.
That story is the story of the Kingdom.
That story is the story of covenant.
That story is the story of redemption.
That story is the story of restoration.
That story is the story of the King.
This is why the Four Witnesses are essential to the awakening.
Without Torah, there is no foundation.
Without the Prophets, there is no warning.
Without the Writings, there is no wisdom.
Without the Apostolic Witnesses, there is no explanation of fulfillment.
Together they provide the whole counsel of Elohim.
Together they reveal the Kingdom.
Together they reveal the Messiah.
Together they reveal the restoration of Israel.
Together they reveal the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Together they reveal the plan of Yahuah from the beginning.
The awakening of Ephraim therefore requires more than enthusiasm.
It requires more than tradition.
It requires more than isolated proof texts.
It requires returning to the full testimony of Scripture.
It requires hearing all four witnesses.
It requires testing every doctrine.
It requires examining every tradition.
It requires allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture.
This is how truth is established.
This is how deception is exposed.
This is how restoration occurs.
This is how the scattered awaken.
This is how the remnant is prepared.
This is how the Kingdom message is preserved.
And this is why the restoration of the Four Witnesses is one of the most important parts of the awakening taking place in our generation.
