AGAINST THE LAW — PART 23: “THE LAW WRITTEN ON THE HEART” — INTERNALIZED OR REMOVED?
Grace, Obedience, and the Truth Most Refuse to Face
The law was never the problem. Rebellion was.

Now we arrive at one of the most quoted promises in all of Scripture—and one of the most misunderstood:
“I will put My law within them, and write it on their hearts.” (Jeremiah 31:33)
This is where people say:
“We don’t need the law anymore—it’s spiritual now.”
“It’s written on the heart, so it’s different.”
“We just follow inner guidance now.”
That is the claim.
But that is not what the text says.
And if you do not define what is being written, and what it means for it to be written on the heart, you will turn the promise of transformation into an excuse for subjectivity.
WHAT IS BEING WRITTEN?
The text does not say:
“I will write a new law”
It says:
“My law”
The same law.
Not replaced
Not redefined
Not reimagined
Internalized
DEFINE “WRITE” — HEBREW KATAV
The Hebrew concept behind “write” is:
כָּתַב (katav)
It means:
To inscribe
To engrave
To record permanently
This is not:
Suggestion
Impression
Emotional influence
This is:
Permanent inscription of the law into the inner being
TWO WITNESSES — JEREMIAH AND HEBREWS
Jeremiah 31:33
Hebrews 10:16
“I will put My laws into their hearts…”
Two witnesses.
Same promise.
Same structure.
TABLETS OF STONE → TABLETS OF THE HEART
“…not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.” (2 Corinthians 3:3)
This is not:
Removal of the law
It is:
Transfer of location
Stone → heart
External → internal
Same law.
New medium.
DEFINE “HEART” — HEBRAIC UNDERSTANDING
The heart is not:
Emotion
Feeling
Preference
The heart is:
Mind
Will
Decision-making center
Seat of understanding
So this is not:
“Follow your feelings”
This is:
The law becomes the internal operating system of your thinking and decisions
THE MIND IS RENEWED — NOT REPLACED
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2)
The law written on the heart includes:
Thinking patterns
Discernment
Judgment
This is:
Mental reconstruction according to truth
THIS WAS ALWAYS THE GOAL
“I delight to do Your will… Your law is within my heart.” (Psalm 40:8)
“His delight is in the law of Yahuah…” (Psalm 1:2)
Psalm 119:
Meditation
Love for the law
Internal focus
This proves:
Internalization is not new—
It is now fully realized.
THE OLD CONDITION — EXTERNAL LAW
Before:
Law written on stone
Outside the person
Commanded but resisted
The issue was not clarity.
The issue was:
The heart was not aligned
THE NEW CONDITION — INTERNAL LAW
Now:
Law written on the heart
Inside the person
Lived from within
Same law.
Different condition.
EZEKIEL 36 — THE MISSING POWER
“I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes…” (Ezekiel 36:27)
This is critical.
The new covenant is not just:
Internal writing
It is:
Spirit-empowered obedience
The Spirit does not replace the law.
The Spirit writes it and causes you to walk in it.
THE SPIRIT AND THE LAW DO NOT CONFLICT
The Spirit:
Writes the law
Reminds the law
Empowers the law
So if what you call “Spirit-led” contradicts the law—
It is not the Spirit of Yahuah.
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT — THE LAW LIVED OUT
Love
Joy
Peace
Patience
Kindness
Goodness
Faithfulness
Self-control (Galatians 5:22–23)
These are not random traits.
They are:
The law expressed internally
This connects directly to:
Part 19 — Love fulfills the law
INTERNALIZED ≠ SELF-DEFINED
This must be locked in.
Internalized does not mean:
You define it
Internalized means:
Yahuah defines it—and it is written within you
Self-defined = rebellion
Internalized = alignment
IF THE LAW IS REMOVED — THE PROMISE COLLAPSES
If the law is gone:
Nothing is written
Nothing is internalized
Nothing transforms
The entire covenant promise becomes meaningless.
THE NEW COVENANT DOES NOT LOWER THE STANDARD
It raises it.
External obedience can be performed outwardly.
Internal obedience requires transformation.
This is why Yahusha intensifies the law:
“You have heard… but I say…” (Matthew 5)
External → internal
Behavior → motive
IDENTITY SHIFT — THIS IS THE POINT
You are not:
Trying to follow an external rule system
You are:
Being transformed into alignment with it
The law moves from:
Instruction → identity
THIS CONNECTS EVERYTHING WE HAVE BUILT
Part 15 — Fulfill does not mean abolish
Part 18 — Law becomes liberty
Part 20 — Grace removes penalty
Part 21 — Covenant renewed in operation
Part 22 — Priesthood changed, not righteousness
Now Part 23 locks it completely:
The law is written within—not taken away
FULL STRUCTURE — LOCK THIS IN
Law revealed
Heart resists
Spirit given
Law inscribed
Mind renewed
Nature transformed
Obedience becomes identity
THE CONTRADICTION THEY CANNOT ESCAPE
If the law is removed:
Sin has no definition
Righteousness has no structure
Obedience has no meaning
Then nothing is being written.
That destroys the covenant promise itself.
FINAL HAMMER — NO ESCAPE
The new covenant does not remove the law.
It writes it within you.
It does not replace righteousness.
It produces it.
It does not excuse disobedience.
It makes obedience natural.
The law written on the heart is not freedom from the law.
It is the law becoming who you are.
And if you claim the law is gone—
You are denying the very thing Yahuah promised to write inside you.
You don’t remove sin by removing the standard—you expose it and deal with it.
