AGAINST THE LAW — PART 9: ONE LAW FOR ALL — IS TORAH ONLY FOR ISRAEL?
Grace, Obedience, and the Truth Most Refuse to Face
The law was never the problem. Rebellion was.

Now we confront another argument that sounds reasonable—until you actually read the text from the beginning:
“The law was only for Israel.”
“Gentiles were never under the law.”
“That was for the Jews, not for us.”
And from that, the conclusion is made:
“We are not required to keep it.”
That position only survives when people start in the middle of the Book, isolate a few verses, and ignore the full covenant structure.
So we are not starting at Sinai.
We are starting at the beginning.
THE PROBLEM — PEOPLE START AT SINAI INSTEAD OF CREATION
Most assume the law begins at Sinai.
It does not.
The law is not created at Sinai—it is revealed there.
Because righteousness existed before Sinai.
SIN EXISTS BEFORE SINAI — SO THE LAW EXISTS BEFORE SINAI
“Sin is the transgression of the law.” (1 John 3:4)
If sin exists—then the law defining it must exist.
Now look at Scripture before Sinai:
Cain murders Abel (Genesis 4) → sin
Joseph refuses adultery: “How can I do this great wickedness and sin against Elohim?” (Genesis 39:9)
That is before Sinai.
So the standard already existed.
Which means the law is not a Jewish invention.
It is the revealed expression of Yahuah’s righteousness.
ABRAHAM KEPT THE LAW BEFORE ISRAEL EXISTED
“Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” (Genesis 26:5)
This is before Sinai.
Before Moses.
Before the nation of Israel was formed.
So the law did not begin with Israel.
Israel received what already existed.
ISRAEL WAS CHOSEN — BUT NOT TO EXCLUDE OTHERS
Israel was not chosen to create a separate system.
Israel was chosen to:
Receive
Preserve
Demonstrate
The covenant.
“Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom… in the sight of the nations…” (Deuteronomy 4:6)
The nations were meant to see it.
Not be excluded from it.
ONE LAW — NOT TWO
“There shall be one law for the native-born and for the stranger who dwells among you.” (Exodus 12:49)
And again:
“One ordinance shall be both for you… and for the stranger… one law and one custom…” (Numbers 15:15–16)
This is not a one-time statement.
This is a covenant principle.
Not two systems.
Not two standards.
One law.
THE STRANGER WAS ALWAYS INCLUDED
Over and over in Torah:
“The stranger who dwells among you…”
Is included in:
Sabbath
Passover
Justice
Covenant participation
This is not exclusion.
This is inclusion under the same standard.
ISAIAH CONFIRMS — FOREIGNERS ARE WELCOMED INTO OBEDIENCE
“Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to Yahuah… everyone who keeps the Sabbath… even them I will bring to My holy mountain…” (Isaiah 56:6–7)
This is not marginal.
This is central.
Foreigners are not exempt.
They are invited into covenant faithfulness.
THE LAW IS GENERATIONAL — NOT TEMPORARY
Over and over in Torah:
“Throughout your generations…”
This language matters.
It means:
Not time-bound
Not temporary
Not limited to one group
The law is not a short-term system.
It is the enduring standard of righteousness.
THE NATIONS WILL WALK IN IT — EVEN IN THE FUTURE
“And many nations shall come and say… He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law…” (Micah 4:2 / Isaiah 2:3)
This is future.
The nations are still walking in His law.
So the idea that the law ended is destroyed by prophecy itself.
YAHUSHA DID NOT CREATE A DIFFERENT STANDARD FOR GENTILES
“Go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19–20)
He taught the disciples.
Then sent them to teach the nations the same things.
Not a reduced version.
Not a different system.
The same instruction.
GENTILES ARE NOT SEPARATE — THEY ARE GRAFTED IN
“You, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in…” (Romans 11)
Grafting does not create a new tree.
It joins you to an existing one.
So Gentiles are not outside the covenant structure.
They are brought into it.
STRANGERS ARE BROUGHT NEAR — NOT LEFT OUTSIDE
“You who once were far off have been brought near…” (Ephesians 2:13)
Not:
Left outside the covenant
Given a different standard
Brought near.
Into the same structure.
THERE IS NOT ONE SYSTEM FOR JEWS AND ANOTHER FOR GENTILES
There is:
One Elohim
One covenant
One standard
One righteousness
Anything else creates contradiction across Scripture.
IF THE LAW IS ONLY FOR ISRAEL — THEN SIN IS ONLY FOR ISRAEL
Follow the logic all the way through:
If the law defines sin
And the law is only for Israel
Then sin only applies to Israel.
Which is absurd.
Because the entire world is held accountable.
THE PROPHETS JUDGE THE NATIONS BY THE SAME STANDARD
The nations are judged for:
Idolatry
Violence
Sexual immorality
Injustice
Those are Torah violations.
So even outside Israel—
The same standard applies.
THERE IS NO “MINIMAL LAW” FOR THE NATIONS
Scripture never presents:
A reduced moral standard
A simplified righteousness
A separate Gentile code
There is one revealed standard.
Anything else is man-made.
THE REAL ISSUE — AGAIN, ACCOUNTABILITY
People do not reject this because it is unclear.
They reject it because if the law applies universally—
Then they are accountable.
So they create divisions:
Jew vs Gentile
Old vs new
Then vs now
To escape responsibility.
COMMON SENSE TEST — AGAIN
Is murder only wrong for Israel?
Is adultery only wrong for Israel?
Is idolatry only wrong for Israel?
No.
Because righteousness is not cultural.
It is universal.
FULL STRUCTURE — LOCK THIS IN
Righteousness defined before Sinai
Revealed at Sinai
Given through Israel
Demonstrated to the nations
Extended through Messiah
Written on the heart
Walked by all
FINAL HAMMER — NO ESCAPE
The law is not Jewish.
The law is not national.
The law is not cultural.
The law is the revealed standard of righteousness from Yahuah.
Israel received it.
The nations are accountable to it.
Through Messiah, you are not left outside—you are brought in.
You are not exempt from the standard.
You are accountable to it.
The covenant did not shrink.
It expanded to include you.
There is not two systems.
There is one.
And you are not outside of it.
You don’t remove sin by removing the standard—you expose it and deal with it.
