There is a difference between shouting truth and trembling before it.
Many can expose deception. Few are willing to stand exposed by the same light they proclaim.
This is not a teaching about holding others accountable first.
This is a confession about holding myself accountable.
“To the Torah and to the testimony: if they do not speak according to this word, there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8:20)
That verse is not ammunition for me to fire at others.
It is a mirror I must stand before daily.
If I claim to love Torah, then I must be measured by it.
If I claim to follow Messiah, then I must reflect Him.
If I claim to expose deception, then I must first be ruthless with my own.
Fear and trembling is not theatrics. It is the proper response to handling covenant truth.
Paul said, “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12).
He also said, “I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified” (1 Corinthians 9:27).
That is weight.
Paul did not set himself as the standard.
He trembled under the standard.
That is where I stand.
The heart is deceitful above all things (Jeremiah 17:9).
That includes my heart.
The remnant in the last days will not be defined by noise.
It will be defined by submission.
Revelation 14:12 describes them:
“Here are those who keep the commandments of Elohim and the faith of Yahusha.”
That is not a badge of superiority.
That is a call to endurance.
Keeping the commandments in a lawless age is not easy.
Holding faith in Messiah in a hostile culture is not safe.
Speaking truth in love in a world addicted to comfort is not popular.
The days are dark.
Lawlessness is increasing.
Religious systems distort covenant.
Nations rage.
Truth is redefined.
But the answer is not pride.
The answer is precision.
The answer is repentance.
The answer is courage under submission.
I am not presenting this to sit above anyone.
I am presenting this because if I do not live it, I am a hypocrite.
Judgment begins at the house of Elohim (1 Peter 4:17).
It begins here.
With me.
If I preach repentance, I must repent.
If I call out deception, I must guard against self-deception.
If I hold the plumb line, I must stand under it.
The plumb line does not belong to me.
It belongs to Yahuah.
I do not condemn.
I do not pronounce final judgment.
I expose what the Word already defines.
Genesis 3 shows the origin of deception.
John 8:44 identifies the father of lies.
1 John 3 defines sin as lawlessness.
2 Thessalonians 2 warns of those who refuse to love the truth.
Those warnings are not abstract.
They are for me first.
The remnant is not perfect.
The remnant is submitted.
The remnant does not enjoy exposing error.
The remnant weeps over it.
Jeremiah wept.
Ezekiel fell on his face.
Daniel confessed his own sin along with the people.
Paul trembled at the thought of disqualification.
That is the posture.
If I ever stop trembling, I have already drifted.
If I ever enjoy condemning others, I have already fallen.
If I ever believe I stand because of my strength, I have misunderstood grace.
This is what is expected of anyone who walks with Messiah in the last days:
Stand on Torah.
Hold fast to the testimony.
Love the truth.
Examine yourself daily.
Endure without arrogance.
Speak without hatred.
Obey without pride.
The world may hate it.
Religious systems may resist it.
Some may despise it.
Some may even think they serve Elohim while opposing it (John 16:2).
But the standard does not change.
I carry this with fear and trembling because I know what I am capable of without the Spirit.
I do not preach from a place of moral superiority.
I preach from a place of accountability.
The days ahead will require men and women who can hold truth without becoming hardened, who can expose darkness without becoming bitter, who can endure suffering without losing love.
That is the remnant.
And if I am to be counted among them, it will not be because I shouted the loudest.
It will be because I trembled before the Word and refused to let go of it.
That is the weight.
That is the calling.
That is the posture.
