If the foundation is a lie, the structure built on it cannot honor Yahuah.

This teaching goes to the core of the problem, not the surface. Christmas is not merely a wrong date, a wrong tradition, or a misunderstood holiday. It is a training systemโone that conditions both adults and children to accept myth, fantasy, and deception as compatible with faith. That is not harmless. It is formative. It shapes how truth, authority, obedience, and belief are understood from the earliest years of life.
Christianity did not merely inherit Christmas from Rome; it normalized lying in order to preserve it.
Children are taught, from the earliest age, to believe in a supernatural being who lives in the north, watches their behavior, keeps a moral record, rewards the โgood,โ punishes the โbad,โ travels through the sky, enters homes invisibly, and delivers gifts. Parents insist this being is real. They reinforce the story with songs, images, movies, rituals, letters, and threats of withheld blessings. The child believesโbecause trusted authorities told them to.
Then one day, the child learns the truth: it was all a lie.
Christianity shrugs and says, โItโs just fun.โ Scripture does not.
The issue is not whether Santa Claus is โcute.โ The issue is that parents deliberately train children to believe a false supernatural narrative, and then later expect those same children to suddenly trust them when they speak about the unseen Elohim of Scripture. The damage is obvious. When children discover Santa is false, they do not only question Santa. They question authority, truth, and credibility. Many quietly ask themselves: If my parents lied about this, what else are they lying about?
Scripture is explicit about truth. โYou shall not bear false witnessโ is not a suggestion (Exodus 20:16). โLying lips are an abomination to Yahuahโ (Proverbs 12:22). โLet your โYesโ be yes and your โNo,โ noโ (Matthew 5:37). There is no exception clause for โholiday fun.โ
Yet Christianity defends this system aggressivelyโbecause if Santa falls, the entire Christmas framework begins to unravel.
Santa Claus himself is not a neutral invention. He is a composite figure drawn from pagan folklore, European myth, and later commercial invention. The modern imageโred suit, flying reindeer, omniscience, gift-based moralityโwas not delivered by Scripture. It was refined through folklore, poem, advertisement, and empire culture. The โnorth poleโ motif aligns with ancient mythic geography. The flying animals echo pagan spirit-creature traditions. The reward-and-punishment system mimics works-based righteousness disconnected from repentance and obedience.
Children are not being taught the fear of Yahuah. They are being taught myth-based morality.
The reindeer, the sleigh, the elves, the magical nightโnone of it is innocent. It functions as an initiation into fantasy belief. It trains the mind to suspend discernment and accept claims without evidence, authority, or accountability. Then Christianity wonders why young adults later abandon the faith when confronted with hard questions. They were trained from childhood that faith includes pretending, role-playing, and ignoring contradictions.
This is not accidental. It is structural.
Christmas also trains children to associate blessing with material reward rather than obedience. Gifts replace gratitude. Consumption replaces covenant. Desire replaces discipline. The โChristmas seasonโ becomes a time when normal moral boundaries are relaxedโgluttony is excused, debt is encouraged, indulgence is celebrated, and restraint is mocked. None of this comes from Torah. All of it comes from the nations.
Christianity teaches children to sing songs filled with false theology, false imagery, and false history. They place nativity scenes under trees that Scripture never commanded. They merge shepherds, wise men, stars, angels, Santa, snow, and solstice imagery into one confused narrative. The child never learns to divide truth from tradition. They learn to blend.
Blending is the essence of syncretism.
Yahuah explicitly warned against this pattern. โYou shall not learn the way of the nationsโ (Jeremiah 10:2). โYou shall not worship Yahuah your Elohim in that wayโ (Deuteronomy 12:31). โThey worship Me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commandments of menโ (Mark 7:7). None of these warnings include exceptions for childrenโs stories.
Christianity responds emotionally instead of biblically. โBut it brings joy.โ โBut itโs about family.โ โBut the kids love it.โ None of those statements grant authority. Nadab and Abihu likely felt sincere when they offered strange fire, but sincerity did not protect them from judgment (Leviticus 10:1โ2). Good feelings do not sanctify forbidden worship.
The greatest irony is that Christianity claims to teach truth while institutionalizing deception for an entire season every year. It teaches children to celebrate a birth Scripture never commanded to celebrate, on a date Scripture never gave, using rituals Scripture never authorized, while lying about supernatural characters that Scripture never mentioned. Then it wonders why children grow up confused, cynical, and detached from biblical authority.
This is not a small issue. It is discipleship in reverse.
Yahusha never taught His disciples to lie to children. He warned that causing little ones to stumble carries severe consequence (Matthew 18:6). Training a child to accept falsehood wrapped in religious language is stumbling by design. It conditions the heart to accept tradition over truth and emotion over obedience.
The solution is not to invent โChristian versionsโ of pagan myths. The solution is to abandon the system entirely. Yahuah already gave His appointed times. He already defined worship. He already commanded truthfulness. Covenant people do not need fantasy figures, solstice myths, or consumer rituals to honor Yahusha. They honor Him by walking as He walked (1 John 2:6), by loving truth, and by teaching their children honesty without exception.
This teaching is not about attacking families. It is about rescuing children from a system that trains them to confuse truth with make-believe and obedience with tradition. It is about tearing down lies so covenant can be rebuilt on a foundation that does not collapse.
The verdict is clear. Christmas, as taught by Christianity, trains children in deception. Santa Claus is a lie. The myths are pagan. The system is syncretistic. And Yahuah is not honored by falsehoodโno matter how festive it appears.
Truth matters. Especially to children.
