๐Ÿ”ฅ Introduction

This message is not given in condemnation, but in loveโ€”deep, raw, urgent love for your soul. This is not about religion, denominations, or opinions. This is not about man-made church schedules. This is about obedience to the Kingโ€”Yahuah Tsevaโ€™ot, the Elohim of Avraham, Yitschaq, and Yaโ€™akov.

The Real Issue and question is: Has the Word of Yahuah Changed?

Spoiler: No, it has not. The fourth commandment, the seventh-day Sabbath, is not โ€œJewish.โ€ It is not ceremonial. It is not temporary. It is not optional. It is not legalistic. It is covenantal. It was established at creation (before Abraham, before Sinai, before Israel), written with the finger of Elohim, and confirmed by Yahusha HaMashiach Himself.

This is about covenant faithfulness.
This is about truth versus deception.
This is about life and death.

You were lied to. Most still are.

We were told Sunday was the Lordโ€™s Day. We were told it didnโ€™t matter. We were told the Sabbath was “just for Jews.” But sincerity cannot save us if it is built on deception.

๐Ÿ“– Mishlei (Proverbs) 14:12 โ€” “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”

What if the Sabbath was never abolished?
What if Sunday worship is not just an error, but rebellion?
What if breaking the Sabbath is not a tradition… but transgression?

Letโ€™s tear this false doctrine down brick by brick.

โŒ False Claim 1:
โ€œThe Sabbath Was Only for Israelโ€
๐Ÿ”ฅ Truth:
The Sabbath predates Israel and is for all who join themselves to Yahuah.
โŒ False Claim 2: โ€œThe New Testament Does Not Command Gentile Sabbath-Keepingโ€
๐Ÿ”ฅ Truth: The Renewed Covenant affirms Torahโ€”including the Sabbath.
โŒ False Claim 3: โ€œColossians 2 and Romans 14 Show the Sabbath Is Optionalโ€
๐Ÿ”ฅ Truth: These passages are always twisted out of context.
โŒ False Claim 4: โ€œEarly Christians Worshiped on Sunday Instead of Sabbathโ€
๐Ÿ”ฅ Truth: Nowhere does Scripture command or approve Sunday worship.

โœŠ The Sabbath Is Not Optional. It Is the Mark of the Set-Apart.

Those who reject the Sabbath reject the very rhythm of creation, the covenant of Yahuah, and the example of Messiah.

This is not a side issue. This is a covenant line in the sand.

๐Ÿงฑ Summary of the Truth

  • The Sabbath is from creation, not from Sinai.
  • The Sabbath is for all who are grafted into Israel (Romans 11).
  • The Sabbath was kept by Yahusha and His disciples.
  • The Sabbath remains for the people of Elohim.
  • The Sabbath will be kept in the Millennial Kingdom and the New Heaven and Earth (Isaiah 66:22โ€“23).

To break Sabbath is sin. To teach others that it is optional is heresy.

Shabbat is not about legalismโ€”itโ€™s about loyalty.
Not about rulesโ€”itโ€™s about relationship.
Not about Judaismโ€”itโ€™s about Yahuah.

Return to the ancient path. Guard the sign of the covenant. Reject the traditions of Rome. Walk in obedience and truth.

Letโ€™s confront the lies. Letโ€™s follow the truth. Letโ€™s return to the Ancient Path.

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 1: The Sabbath Was Only for Israel?

๐Ÿ“– Bereshith (Genesis) 2:2โ€“3
“And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work… and He rested on the seventh day… and set it apart.”

Hebrew Word Study:
ืฉืึทื‘ึธึผืช (Shabbat, Strongโ€™s H7676) โ€” to cease, rest, keep as a Sabbath

Paleo-Hebrew: ๐ค”๐ค๐ค• โ€” Destroy (๐ค”) the house (๐ค) of the covenant (๐ค•)

  • The Sabbath existed before there was an Israel. It is a creation ordinance.
  • It is a built-in rhythm of rest, woven into time itself.

๐Ÿ“– YeshaYahu (Isaiah) 56:6โ€“7
Even foreigners who joined themselves to Yahuah were commanded to keep the Sabbath. This is covenant inclusion, not exclusion.

Greek (Septuagint): ฮฃฮฑฮฒฮฒฮฑฯ„ฮฏฮถฯ‰ (sabbatizo) โ€” to observe the Sabbath

Reflective Question: If the Sabbath was part of creation, why do so many think it was invented at Sinai?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 2: The New Testament Doesnโ€™t Command Gentile Sabbath-Keeping?

๐Ÿ“– Maโ€™asei (Acts) 15:21
“For Moshe has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath.”

Hebrew Word Study: ืฉึธืืžื•ึนืขึท (shamoa, Strongโ€™s H8085) โ€” to hear, listen, obey

Greek Word Study: ฯƒฯ…ฮฝฮฑฮณฯ‰ฮณฮฎ (sunagลgฤ“, Strongโ€™s G4864) โ€” assembly, synagogue, a gathering for Torah reading

Paleo-Hebrew Picture: ๐ค”๐คŒ๐ค โ€” Consume (๐ค”), chaos or water (๐คŒ), eye or watch (๐ค): To guard and respond by watching and obeying

  • The Jerusalem Council never abolished Torahโ€”it only issued beginning instructions for new Gentile believers.
  • It clearly expected them to attend synagogue on Sabbath to learn the rest of Mosheโ€™s teachings.
  • Paul kept the Sabbath (Acts 17:2, Acts 18:4) and taught others to do the same.
  • Sabbath was already the standard practice. No new command was neededโ€”it was already the command of Yahuah.

๐Ÿ“– Ivrim (Hebrews) 4:9
“So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of Elohim.”

Greek Word Study: ฯƒฮฑฮฒฮฒฮฑฯ„ฮนฯƒฮผฯŒฯ‚ (sabbatismos, Strongโ€™s G4520) โ€” the keeping of a literal seventh-day Sabbath

  • This passage is not figurative. It refers to an actual, ongoing practice.
  • It confirms the Sabbath is still required for the people of Elohim.

Reflective Question: If the early ekklesia kept the Sabbath and expected Gentiles to learn it weekly, who gave modern churches permission to ignore it?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 3: Do Colossians and Romans Make the Sabbath Optional?

๐Ÿ“– Qolasim (Colossians) 2:16โ€“17
“Let no one therefore judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths, which are a shadow of what is to come โ€” but the Body of the Messiah.”

Greek Word Study:
ฯƒฮฑฬฮฒฮฒฮฑฯ„ฮฟฮฝ (sabbaton, Strongโ€™s G4521) โ€” seventh-day Sabbath, rest day
ฮบฯฮนฬฮฝฯ‰ (krinล, Strongโ€™s G2919) โ€” to judge, condemn, distinguish, or decide

Paleo-Hebrew Picture for Sabbath (Shabbat): ๐ค”๐ค๐ค• โ€” Destroy (๐ค”) the house (๐ค) marked by covenant (๐ค•)

  • Paul is not canceling the Sabbath โ€” heโ€™s warning Torah-keeping believers in Colossae not to be judged by pagan Gnostics or ascetic heretics for observing the Sabbath and feasts.
  • The word โ€œshadowโ€ (Greek: ฯƒฮบฮนฮฑฬ, skia) does not mean โ€œdone away with.โ€ Shadows point to substance. The feasts and Sabbaths point to Messiahโ€™s fulfilled and coming work.
  • The phrase โ€œbut the Body of Messiahโ€ is mistranslated in most English Bibles. It actually reads, โ€œโ€ฆbut [let] the Body of Messiah [do the judging].โ€ In other words, donโ€™t let the world judge you โ€” let your covenant community keep you accountable in righteousness.

๐Ÿ“– Romans 14:5
“One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.”

Greek Word Study:
ฮทฬ”ฮผฮตฬฯฮฑ (hฤ“mera, Strongโ€™s G2250) โ€” day, used generically
ฯ†ฯฮฟฮฝฮตฬฯ‰ (phroneล, Strongโ€™s G5426) โ€” to think, regard, set oneโ€™s mind on

  • This verse is not about the seventh-day Sabbath. Paul is addressing optional fast days and personal convictions on eating.
  • Nowhere in Romans 14 is the Sabbath even mentioned. It is eisegesis to insert it into the passage.
  • To claim that Yahuahโ€™s fourth commandment is now up to personal preference is lawlessness and heresy.

Reflective Question: If Colossians 2 warns us not to be judged for keeping Sabbaths, why do so many use it to justify not keeping them at all?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 4: Did Early Christians Worship on Sunday?

๐Ÿ“– Maโ€™asei (Acts) 20:7
“And on the first day of the week, when we came together to break bread, Paul, intending to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.”

๐Ÿ“– Qorintiym Aleph (1 Corinthians) 16:2
“On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.”

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 1:10
“I was in the Spirit on the Lordโ€™s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet…”

Greek Word Study:
ฮผฮนฮฑ ฯ„ฯ‰ฮฝ ฯƒฮฑฮฒฮฒฮฑฯ„ฯ‰ฮฝ (mia tลn sabbatลn, Strongโ€™s G1520 + G4521) โ€” literally โ€œone [day] of the Sabbaths,โ€ not โ€œSundayโ€
ฮบฯ…ฯฮนฮฑฮบฮฎ (kyriakฤ“, Strongโ€™s G2960) โ€” belonging to the Master, used once in the Apostolic Writings, not defined as โ€œSundayโ€ anywhere in Scripture

Paleo-Hebrew Picture for โ€œDayโ€ (Yom): ๐ค‰๐ค…๐คŒ โ€” Hand (๐ค‰) + Nail/Hook (๐ค…) + Water/Chaos (๐คŒ) = Time secured in motion, marked and repeated.

  • Acts 20:7 describes a Havdalah meeting โ€” a fellowship gathering after Sabbath (Saturday night), as Paul prepared to travel. It does not describe a change in the Sabbath.
  • 1 Corinthians 16:2 is about setting aside donations at home โ€” not assembling for worship.
  • Revelation 1:10 mentions โ€œthe Lordโ€™s Day,โ€ but Scripture defines the Sabbath as the day belonging to Yahuah (see Shemoth 20:10). The phrase โ€œLordโ€™s Dayโ€ is never defined in the Bible as Sunday โ€” that title was later stolen by Rome.
  • The idea that the Apostles transferred the Sabbath to Sunday is an invention of Roman Catholic tradition, not biblical revelation.

Reflective Question: If neither Yahusha nor the apostles ever kept Sunday as the Sabbath, what gives modern Christianity the authority to change what Yahuah never changed?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 5: The Sabbath Is a Sign of the Covenant

๐Ÿ“– Shemoth (Exodus) 31:13
“Speak also to the children of Yisraโ€™ฤ•l, saying, โ€˜My Sabbaths you are to guard, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I am Yahuah who sets you apart.โ€™”

๐Ÿ“– Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 20:12
“Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am Yahuah who sanctifies them.”

Hebrew Word Study:
ืื•ึนืช (ot, Strongโ€™s H226) โ€” sign, mark, signal, distinguishing mark
ืงึธื“ึทืฉื (qadash, Strongโ€™s H6942) โ€” to set apart, consecrate, sanctify

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture for โ€œSignโ€ (Ot): ๐ค€๐ค• โ€” Aleph (๐ค€) + Tav (๐ค•) = The strength of the covenant or the leader marked by the covenant

  • The Sabbath is not a โ€œJewish custom.โ€ It is a divine signโ€”Yahuahโ€™s seal upon His people.
  • A sign (ืื•ึนืช) is something visible, recognizable, and prophetic. It marks who belongs to Yahuah.
  • To profane the Sabbath is to remove His mark. To honor it is to be recognized by heaven and feared by hell.
  • This is the same word used for the blood on the doorposts in Egyptโ€”a visible marker of obedience and protection (Shemoth 12:13).
  • The Sabbath is how Yahuah differentiates between the world and His set-apart people. It is His covenant signature.

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 14:12
“Here is the patience of the set-apart ones; here are those who keep the commandments of Elohim and the belief of Yahusha.”

  • The remnant is identified as those who keep His commandmentsโ€”not just believe, but obey.
  • Sabbath is not peripheralโ€”it is covenant core.

Reflective Question: If the Sabbath is Yahuahโ€™s visible sign on His people, then what is the visible sign on those who reject it?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 6: The Sabbath and the Mark of the Beast

๐Ÿ“– Daniโ€™el (Daniel) 7:25
“He shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and shall think to change times and law. And they shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.”

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 13:8
“And all who dwell on the earth shall worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

๐Ÿ“– MattithYahu (Matthew) 15:9
“But in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”

Hebrew Word Study:
ื—ึนืง (choq, Strongโ€™s H2706) โ€” statute, decree, prescribed law
ื–ึฐืžึทืŸ (zeman, Strongโ€™s H2165) โ€” appointed time, season

Greek Word Study:
ฯ‡ฮฑฯฮฑฬฮณฮผฮฑ (charagma, Strongโ€™s G5480) โ€” a mark, stamp, or engraved sign of ownership

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture for โ€œLawโ€ (Torah): ๐ค•๐ค“๐ค„ โ€” Crossed sticks (๐ค•), head or leader (๐ค“), breath or revelation (๐ค„) = The covenant revealed by the leader through instruction

  • The beast systemโ€™s central goal is to counterfeit Yahuahโ€™s authority. It seeks to change His law (Torah) and appointed times (moโ€™edim).
  • The first and central change enforced by the beast was the shift from the seventh-day Sabbath to Sundayโ€”a day rooted in sun worship, not covenant truth.
  • The โ€œmarkโ€ of the beast is not simply a chip or technology. It is about allegiance, obedience, and worship.
  • Those who obey the commandments of men in defiance of Yahuahโ€™s Torah are aligning with the beastโ€”even if they claim to love God with their lips.

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 14:9โ€“10
“If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of Elohim…”

  • Forehead = beliefs
  • Hand = actions
  • The mark is about what you believe and do โ€” who you obey.

Reflective Question: If the Sabbath is Yahuahโ€™s covenant sign, could the enforced rejection of it be the very essence of the beastโ€™s counterfeit mark?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 7: What Did Yahusha and the Disciples Do?

๐Ÿ“– Luqas (Luke) 4:16
“And He came to Natsareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.”

๐Ÿ“– Maโ€™asei (Acts) 18:4
“And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.”

๐Ÿ“– Maโ€™asei (Acts) 17:2
“And according to his practice, Shaโ€™ul went in to them, and for three Sabbaths was reasoning with them from the Scriptures…”

Hebrew Word Study:
ืžึดืฉึฐืืคึธึผื˜ (mishpat, Strongโ€™s H4941) โ€” ordinance, customary practice, prescribed manner

Greek Word Study:
แผ”ฮธฮฟฯ‚ (ethos, Strongโ€™s G1485) โ€” custom, habit, established routine
ฮดฮนฮฑฮปฮญฮณฮฟฮผฮฑฮน (dialegomai, Strongโ€™s G1256) โ€” to reason, dispute, dialogue with logic

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture for โ€œCustomโ€ (Ethos): ๐ค€๐ค•๐ค” โ€” Aleph (strength), Tav (covenant), Shin (consume/teeth) = Strength in covenant that devours falsehood

  • Yahusha kept the Sabbath as His customโ€”His routine, His discipline, His testimony.
  • His example was not ceremonial ritual, but covenantal obedience grounded in creation and Torah.
  • The apostles continued this exact pattern after His resurrection, regularly meeting and reasoning from the Scriptures on the Sabbath with both Yahudim and Gentiles.
  • At no point in Actsโ€”or any other apostolic writingโ€”do we see a command to change the day, disregard the commandment, or shift the focus to Sunday.

๐Ÿ“– MattithYahu (Matthew) 5:17โ€“19
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete. For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.”

  • If heaven and earth are still hereโ€ฆ the Sabbath still stands.
  • Yahusha did not cancel the Sabbathโ€”He confirmed it.

Reflective Question: If Yahusha is our example in all things, why would we not follow His example in honoring the Sabbath?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 8: The Sabbath Was Never Abolished in the Renewed Covenant

๐Ÿ“– Ivrim (Hebrews) 4:9
“So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of Elohim.”

๐Ÿ“– MattithYahu (Matthew) 24:20
“And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.”

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 14:12
“Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones; here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of Yahusha.”

Hebrew Word Study:
ืฉึธืื‘ึทืช (shabat, Strongโ€™s H7673) โ€” to cease, rest, observe Sabbath
ื ึธืฉึทืืจ (nashar, Strongโ€™s H5383) โ€” to remain, endure, continue

Greek Word Study:
ฯƒฮฑฮฒฮฒฮฑฯ„ฮนฯƒฮผฯŒฯ‚ (sabbatismos, Strongโ€™s G4520) โ€” a literal, ongoing observance of the seventh-day Sabbath
ฯ„ฮทฯฮญฯ‰ (tฤ“reล, Strongโ€™s G5083) โ€” to guard, watch over, preserve carefully

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture for โ€œRestโ€ (Shabbat): ๐ค”๐ค๐ค• โ€” Destroy (๐ค”) the House (๐ค) of the covenant (๐ค•): A picture of ceasing labor to protect and preserve covenant identity.

  • The book of Hebrews โ€” written decades after Messiah’s ascension โ€” plainly states that the Sabbath remains. It has not been abolished, transferred, or made symbolic.
  • Messiah warned His disciples (in a prophecy yet to be fulfilled) to pray their flight would not happen on the Sabbath โ€” why? Because the Sabbath would still matter. It would still be guarded.
  • In the final book of the Bible, Yahuah identifies His faithful remnant as those who guard His commands and believe in Yahusha โ€” the Sabbath is a commandment, not a suggestion.
  • The renewed covenant (Jeremiah 31:31โ€“33 / Hebrews 8:8โ€“10) writes the Torah on our hearts โ€” it does not remove or replace it.

๐Ÿ“– Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 20:20
“Set apart My Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, to know that I am Yahuah your Elohim.”

Reflective Question: If the Sabbath remains for the people of Elohim, and the Torah is now written on our hearts, wouldnโ€™t rejecting it be rejecting what has been written inside us?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 9: What Happens When You Reject the Sabbath?

๐Ÿ“– Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 20:13
“But the house of Yisraโ€™el rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes, and they despised My judgments, which, if a man does, he shall live by them. And they greatly profaned My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them.”

๐Ÿ“– Hoshea (Hosea) 4:6
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the Torah of your Elohim, I also forget your children.”

๐Ÿ“– MattithYahu (Matthew) 7:23
“And then I shall declare to them, โ€˜I never knew you; depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!โ€™”

Hebrew Word Study:
ื—ึธืœึทืœ (chalal, Strongโ€™s H2490) โ€” to profane, defile, desecrate, treat as common
ืžึธืึทืก (ma’as, Strongโ€™s H3988) โ€” to reject, despise, cast away

Greek Word Study:
แผ€ฮฝฮฟฮผฮฏฮฑ (anomia, Strongโ€™s G458) โ€” lawlessness, violation of Torah
แผ€ฮธฮตฯ„ฮญฯ‰ (atheteล, Strongโ€™s G114) โ€” to disregard, nullify, abolish

Paleo-Hebrew Picture for โ€œProfaneโ€ (Chalal): ๐ค‡๐ค‹๐ค‹ โ€” Fence (๐ค‡) removed from authority or shepherd (๐ค‹๐ค‹): To remove the hedge and expose what is set apart

  • Profaning the Sabbath is treated by Yahuah as an act of rebellion and covenant betrayal.
  • Rejecting the Sabbath is rejecting knowledge, which leads to destruction and disqualification from priestly service.
  • Yahushaโ€™s warning in Matthew 7 is to those who profess His Name but practice lawlessness โ€” which includes trampling on the Sabbath.
  • Sabbath rejection is not a minor difference of opinion โ€” it is the open rejection of Yahuahโ€™s mark, His rhythm, and His identity.

๐Ÿ“– Tehillim (Psalms) 119:126
“It is time for Yahuah to act, for they have broken Your Torah.”

Reflective Question: If Yahuah poured out wrath on Yisraโ€™el for profaning the Sabbath, what do you think He will do to a generation that teaches others to do the same?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 10: Shabbat in the Millennial Kingdom and the World to Come (Revised with Both Paleo Word Pictures)

๐Ÿ“– YeshaYahu (Isaiah) 66:22โ€“23
“For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before Me, says Yahuah, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me, says Yahuah.”

๐Ÿ“– Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 46:1โ€“3
“Thus said the Master Yahuah, โ€˜The gate of the inner courtyard facing east is shut the six days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened… and the people of the land shall bow themselves at the entrance of this gate before Yahuah on the Sabbaths and on the New Moons.โ€™”

Hebrew Word Studies:
ืฉึธืื‘ึทืช (shabat, Strongโ€™s H7673) โ€” to cease, to rest, to observe a day of cessation
ืœึฐืขื•ึนืœึธื (l’olam, Strongโ€™s H5769) โ€” forever, perpetually, everlasting

Greek Equivalent (Septuagint):
ฯƒฮฑฮฒฮฒฮฑฯ„ฮฟฮฝ (sabbaton, G4521) โ€” seventh-day Sabbath, the weekly set-apart day

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture for โ€œShabbatโ€ (ืฉืึทื‘ึผึธืช): ๐ค”๐ค๐ค•

  • Shin (๐ค”) = Destroy
  • Bet (๐ค) = House
  • Tav (๐ค•) = Covenant
โžก Destroy the house marked by covenant โ€” Cease from worldly labor and chaos to preserve covenant sanctity.

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture for โ€œOlamโ€ (ืขื•ึนืœึธื): ๐ค๐ค‹๐คŒ

  • Ayin (๐ค) = Eye / Watch / Understand
  • Lamed (๐ค‹) = Staff / Authority
  • Mem (๐คŒ) = Water / Chaos / Mighty
โžก To see or discern enduring authority beyond the visible โ€” a picture of everlasting dominion
  • The Sabbath is not just an earthly ordinance โ€” itโ€™s an eternal institution that continues into the coming reign of Messiah and into the New Heavens and Earth.
  • YeshaYahu prophesied that โ€œall fleshโ€ will come to worship before Yahuah on the Sabbath โ€” not just Israel, not just in this age, but in the renewed creation itself.
  • Yehezqel confirms that during the Millennial Kingdom, the Sabbath will be observed as part of temple service and worship before the King.
  • If the Sabbath is eternal, how can anyone say it was โ€œdone away withโ€? The Word says otherwise.

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 22:14
“Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.”

  • The ones who enter the city are the ones who do His commands โ€” and that includes honoring His Sabbath, both now and forever.

Reflective Question: If the Sabbath will be honored in the New Earth by all flesh, should we not be practicing now what we will be doing for eternity?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 11: A Final Warning Against Lawlessness

๐Ÿ“– MattithYahu (Matthew) 7:22โ€“23
“Many shall say to Me in that day, โ€˜Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?โ€™ And then I shall declare to them, โ€˜I never knew you; depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!โ€™”

๐Ÿ“– Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 5:20
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

๐Ÿ“– Tehillim (Psalms) 119:126
“It is time for Yahuah to act, for they have broken Your Torah.”

Hebrew Word Studies:
ืจึธืฉึธืืข (rasha, Strongโ€™s H7563) โ€” wicked, guilty, one who acts criminally or violates the Torah
ืขื•ึนืŸ (avon, Strongโ€™s H5771) โ€” iniquity, guilt of intentional rebellion against Yahuah
ืชึผื•ึนืจึธื” (Torah, Strongโ€™s H8451) โ€” instruction, teaching, law; divine direction

Greek Word Study:
แผ€ฮฝฮฟฮผฮฏฮฑ (anomia, Strongโ€™s G458) โ€” lawlessness, Torah-violation, refusal to submit to Yahuahโ€™s commands
แผ€ฮธฮตฯ„ฮญฯ‰ (atheteล, Strongโ€™s G114) โ€” to nullify, set aside, disregard as invalid

Paleo-Hebrew Word Pictures:

โ€œRashaโ€ (ืจึธืฉึธืืข): ๐ค“๐ค”๐ค

  • Resh (๐ค“) = Head, person
  • Shin (๐ค”) = Destroy, consume
  • Ayin (๐ค) = Eye, experience, watch
โžก The head that destroys spiritual sight โ€” one who chooses to blind themselves to truth.

โ€œAvonโ€ (ืขื•ึนืŸ): ๐ค๐ค…๐ค

  • Ayin (๐ค) = Eye / Insight
  • Waw (๐ค…) = Nail / Connection
  • Nun (๐ค) = Seed / Life / Offspring
โžก The insight or choice that connects to corrupt seed โ€” iniquity tied to willful rebellion.

โ€œTorahโ€ (ืชึผื•ึนืจึธื”): ๐ค•๐ค“๐ค„

  • Tav (๐ค•) = Covenant / Mark
  • Resh (๐ค“) = Head / Authority
  • Hey (๐ค„) = Breath / Revelation
โžก The revealed instruction from the head of the covenant โ€” Yahuahโ€™s divine teachings
  • Yahushaโ€™s words are terrifyingly clear. There will be many in the last day who sincerely believe they are savedโ€”but they will be cast out as lawless. Why? Because sincerity is not obedience.
  • To reject the Sabbath, to trample Torah underfoot, to call obedience โ€œlegalism,โ€ is to engage in rebellion, not relationship.
  • Modern Christianity has replaced submission with slogans, law with license, and obedience with emotionalism.
  • But the Judge is not swayed by crowds. He honors covenant. He seeks faithfulness. He requires obedience.
  • Lawlessness is not just about sin โ€” itโ€™s about refusing to submit to the instruction of Yahuah.

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 22:14โ€“15
“Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city. But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and all who love and do falsehood.”

Reflective Question: If Yahusha will reject the lawless on Judgment Day, what should we be doing now to ensure our lives are built on obedience, not deception?

๐Ÿ“˜๏ธ Section 12: Summary of the Truth

๐Ÿ“– Tehillim (Psalms) 19:7
“The Torah of Yahuah is perfect, bringing back the being; the witness of Yahuah is trustworthy, making wise the simple.”

๐Ÿ“– Mishlei (Proverbs) 28:9
“He who turns away his ear from hearing the Torah, even his prayer is an abomination.”

๐Ÿ“– Romans 11:17โ€“18
“And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them… do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember: you do not bear the root, but the root bears you.”

โžก The covenant instructions revealed by the Head
  • The Sabbath was not invented by Moses. It was not abolished by Paul. It was not changed by Messiah. It was established by Yahuah at creation, written by His finger, confirmed by His Son, and upheld by His remnant.
  • To disregard the Sabbath is to reject the covenant sign between Yahuah and His people.
  • To teach others to reject it is to partner with the man of lawlessness.
  • This is not a side issue. This is not secondary. This is a line in the sand between those who follow Rome and those who follow Yahuah.
  • Itโ€™s time to stop playing games with Scripture. The hour is late. The deception is deep. But the truth is still calling.

๐Ÿงฑ Summary of the Truth:

  • The Sabbath is from creation, not Sinai.
  • The Sabbath is for all who are grafted into Israel (Romans 11).
  • The Sabbath was kept by Yahusha and His disciples.
  • The Sabbath remains for the people of Elohim (Hebrews 4:9).
  • The Sabbath will be kept in the Millennial Kingdom and the New Heaven and Earth (Isaiah 66:22โ€“23).

๐Ÿ“– Shemoth (Exodus) 31:16
“And the children of Yisraโ€™ฤ•l shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant.”

Reflective Question: Now that you know the truth, what will you do with it?

๐Ÿ”ฅ Prophetic Insight

๐Ÿ“– Daniโ€™el (Daniel) 7:25
“And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and think to change times and laws…”

๐Ÿ“– 2 Thessalonians 2:3โ€“4
“Let no one deceive you in any way, because the falling away is to come first… who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called Elohim or that is worshiped.”

แผ€ฯ€ฮฟฯƒฯ„ฮฑฯƒฮฏฮฑ (apostasia, Strongโ€™s G646) โ€” rebellion, defection, falling away
แผ€ฮฝฯ„ฮฏฯ‡ฯฮนฯƒฯ„ฮฟฯ‚ (antichristos, Strongโ€™s G500) โ€” anti-Messiah, false Messiah, substitute in place of the real

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture for โ€œChangeโ€ (Shanah): ๐ค”๐ค๐ค„

  • Shin (๐ค”) = Destroy
  • Nun (๐ค) = Seed
  • Hey (๐ค„) = Reveal
โžก To destroy the revealed seed โ€” a picture of tampering with what Yahuah has planted
  • The shift from Sabbath to Sunday is not just a tradition โ€” it is prophetic warfare.
  • The beast system openly boasts in having changed โ€œtimes and laws.โ€ This includes the appointed times (moโ€™edim), the seventh-day Sabbath, and the Torah of Yahuah.
  • This was not hidden โ€” Rome brags about this change in its own documents. The church fathers embraced the shift, divorcing the faith from its Hebraic root.
  • The Sunday system is not just in error โ€” it is part of the great apostasy, the deliberate falling away from Torah and the covenant identity of Yahuahโ€™s people.

๐Ÿ“– YeshaYahu (Isaiah) 58:13โ€“14
“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day… then you shall delight yourself in Yahuah…”

  • The world has made pleasure its Sabbath and truth its offense.
  • But the remnant is rising. The watchmen are shouting. The covenant is being restored.

This is the hour of distinction. Babylon or Zion. Beast or Bride. Sunday or Sabbath.

๐Ÿ“œ Torah/Prophets Connection

๐Ÿ“– Shemoth (Exodus) 20:8โ€“11
“Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. Six days you labor, and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of Yahuah your Elohim. You do not do any work…”

๐Ÿ“– Shemoth (Exodus) 31:16โ€“17
“And the children of Yisraโ€™ฤ•l shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant. Between Me and the children of Yisraโ€™ฤ•l it is a sign forever…”

๐Ÿ“– Devariym (Deuteronomy) 5:12โ€“15
“Guard the Sabbath day, to set it apart, as Yahuah your Elohim commanded you…”

๐Ÿ“– YeshaYahu (Isaiah) 58:13โ€“14
“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath… and shall honor it, not doing your own ways… then you shall delight yourself in Yahuah.”

๐Ÿ“– Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 20:12โ€“13
“And I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, to know that I am Yahuah who sets them apart. But the house of Yisraโ€™ฤ•l rebelled against Me…”

Hebrew Word Studies:
ืื•ึนืช (ot, Strongโ€™s H226) โ€” sign, distinguishing mark, banner
ื‘ึฐึผืจึดื™ืช (berit, Strongโ€™s H1285) โ€” covenant, alliance, pledge
ื–ึธื›ึทืจ (zakar, Strongโ€™s H2142) โ€” to remember, to call to mind
ืฉึธืืžึทืจ (shamar, Strongโ€™s H8104) โ€” to keep, to guard, to protect

Paleo-Hebrew Word Pictures:

โ€œOtโ€ (ืื•ึนืช): ๐ค€๐ค•

  • Aleph (๐ค€) = Strength / Leader
  • Tav (๐ค•) = Mark / Covenant
โžก The strength of the covenant mark โ€” the visible evidence of whom you serve.

โ€œBeritโ€ (ื‘ึฐึผืจึดื™ืช): ๐ค๐ค“๐ค•

  • Bet (๐ค) = House
  • Resh (๐ค“) = Head / First
  • Tav (๐ค•) = Covenant / Sign
โžก The covenant that establishes the house under divine headship
  • The Torah explicitly connects the Sabbath to covenant identity. It is not a random command โ€” it is a sign of who you belong to.
  • Yahuah doesnโ€™t say, โ€œIf you feel like itโ€ฆโ€ He says, “Guard it,” “Remember it,” and “It is a sign forever.”
  • The Prophets confirm that the people of Yahuah broke the covenant by profaning the Sabbath, and it became the very reason for their judgment.
  • Sabbath is not optional. It is central. It is the line between obedience and rebellion, between Yahuahโ€™s people and Babylonโ€™s system.

๐Ÿ“– YeshaYahu (Isaiah) 56:6โ€“7
“And the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to Yahuah, to serve Him… every one who keeps from defiling the Sabbath… I shall bring to My set-apart mountain and let them rejoice in My house of prayer…”

Prophetic Connection:

  • The Sabbath is the covenant signal that identifies those who have joined themselves to Yahuah โ€” including the foreigner (Gentiles).
  • It is the anchor of holiness, the boundary of loyalty, and the gate of worship.

Reflective Question: If the Torah and the Prophets call the Sabbath a forever sign, who gave the church permission to erase it?

๐Ÿ“ฃ Prophetic Application

The line has been drawn. This is not about calendar preferences or denominational quirks. This is about covenant faithfulness in the face of global deception. The Sabbath has been trampled underfoot by centuries of rebellion, tradition, and compromise. But Yahuah has preserved a remnant โ€” a people who remember His covenant, guard His commands, and refuse the mark of the beast system.

We live in a world that honors the sun-day of Rome and mocks the Sabbath of Yahuah. That is no accident. It is spiritual warfare. To honor the seventh-day Sabbath is to reject the beastโ€™s authority and submit to the King of Kings. It is a prophetic declaration:

โ€œYahuah is my Elohim โ€” and I do not follow Babylon.โ€

This is not legalism. This is loyalty. This is not bondage. This is freedom. The Sabbath is the rhythm of creation, the seal of the covenant, and the standard of the Kingdom to come.

Yahuah is restoring His truth in these last days โ€” but restoration always begins with repentance. It is time to unlearn the lies, come out of Rome, and return to the path our fathers walked โ€” the Ancient Path of obedience, truth, and rest.

๐Ÿ“– Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 6:16
“Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and find rest for your souls…”

โžค Application for Us Today

  • โœ… Repent for believing or teaching that the Sabbath was abolished.
  • โœ… Stop calling Yahuahโ€™s commandments โ€œlegalism.โ€
  • โœ… Break agreement with Romeโ€™s calendar and return to Yahuahโ€™s.
  • โœ… Set apart the seventh day โ€” from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset โ€” and cease from work.
  • โœ… Teach your children and family the covenant significance of the Sabbath.
  • โœ… Join with others who are walking in Torah and guard the appointed times.
  • โœ… Stop giving honor to a man-made system and start honoring the Creator of heaven and earth.
  • โœ… Declare publicly that you will guard the covenant of Yahuah โ€” including His Sabbaths.

Reflective Challenge:
What are you willing to lay down so you can walk in obedience to the Fourth Commandment? What will it cost you to obey โ€” and what will it cost you not to?

๐Ÿ”” Final Prophetic Charge

This is not a debate. This is a judgment line.

Youโ€™ve now heard the truth. Youโ€™ve seen the Scriptures. Youโ€™ve followed the covenant trail from Genesis to Revelation, from creation to the New Earth, and the evidence is overwhelming:
The Sabbath has not changed. Yahuah has not changed. The covenant has not changed.

But the system has changed โ€” and it changed you.

Rome, through deception and domination, altered the calendar, replaced the set-apart day, and forced generations into rebellion under the guise of tradition. And now, millions follow the beast while claiming to serve the King.

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 18:4
“Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.”

This is the call of the watchman. Not to tickle ears. Not to play nice with deception. But to declare, with clarity and urgency:

You must choose.
You cannot serve two masters.
You cannot keep the commandments of men and call it worship.
You cannot follow Rome and inherit Zion.

Yahuah is calling His people back to His covenant, His Name, His appointed times, and His set-apart Sabbath.

The remnant is not marked by what they profess โ€” but by what they obey.

๐Ÿ“– Revelation 14:12
“Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of Yahusha.”

Now is the time to walk in obedience. Now is the time to choose the narrow path. Now is the time to guard the sign and reject the counterfeit.

The Sabbath is not a suggestion. It is the standard of the Kingdom.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Reflection / Review Questions

  1. What is the biblical origin of the Sabbath, and why does it matter that it predates the nation of Israel?
  2. How does Bereshith (Genesis) 2:2โ€“3 confirm that Sabbath is part of creation, not just the Torah given at Sinai?
  3. Why is the Sabbath referred to as a โ€œsignโ€ in Shemoth (Exodus) 31:13โ€“17, and what does that sign represent?
  4. What Hebrew and Paleo-Hebrew meanings support the understanding that the Sabbath is a covenantal day, not a ceremonial or temporary one?
  5. How did Yahusha treat the Sabbath, and what evidence proves that He kept it faithfully throughout His life?
  6. What warnings does Shaโ€™ul (Paul) give about twisting Scripture, and how does that apply to Sabbath doctrine today?
  7. What does the Greek word โ€œsabbatismosโ€ in Hebrews 4:9 reveal about the ongoing nature of Sabbath for believers?
  8. Why does Revelation link the commandments of Yahuah with the endurance of the set-apart remnant in the last days?
  9. How is rejecting the Sabbath a form of spiritual lawlessness, according to Matthew 7:23 and related scriptures?
  10. In what ways has modern Christianity embraced the beast system by abandoning Yahuahโ€™s Sabbath?

๐Ÿ“œ Answers to Reflection Questions

  1. The Sabbath was established at creation, not at Sinai. It matters because it shows the Sabbath is a universal covenant command tied to the structure of time itself, not just a national law for Israel.
  2. ๐Ÿ“– Bereshith (Genesis) 2:2โ€“3 shows that Elohim rested and set the seventh day apart before there was sin, before the covenant with Abraham, and before the giving of the Torah. It was part of His original design.
  3. ๐Ÿ“– Shemoth (Exodus) 31:13โ€“17 refers to the Sabbath as a sign (ืื•ึนืช – ot) between Yahuah and His people, marking those who are in covenant with Him. It identifies His set-apart people.
  4. The Hebrew word โ€œShabbatโ€ (ืฉึทืื‘ึธึผืช) means to cease or rest, and its Paleo-Hebrew form ๐ค”๐ค๐ค• shows โ€œDestroy the house marked by covenant,โ€ meaning a holy cessation from normal labor to protect the covenant. It’s not ceremonial โ€” it is prophetic and eternal.
  5. Yahusha kept the Sabbath as was His custom (๐Ÿ“– Luqas 4:16) and never taught against it. Instead, He taught the right way to honor it and declared Himself Master of the Sabbath, not against it.
  6. Shaโ€™ul (Paul) warned in ๐Ÿ“– 2 Kepha (Peter) 3:16 that his writings are often misunderstood and twisted by the lawless. Many use his letters to say Torah is abolished, but that interpretation leads to destruction.
  7. ๐Ÿ“– Ivrim (Hebrews) 4:9 uses the Greek word sabbatismos, which clearly refers to a literal seventh-day Sabbath observance, not a vague spiritual โ€œrest.โ€ It proves the Sabbath remains for the people of Elohim.
  8. ๐Ÿ“– Revelation 14:12 states that the enduring remnant keeps the commands of Elohim and the belief of Yahusha. The Sabbath is the 4th command โ€” this is direct evidence that Sabbath-keeping remains a mark of the faithful.
  9. Rejecting the Sabbath is rejecting the clear command of Yahuah. ๐Ÿ“– MattithYahu 7:23 warns that those who claim His name but practice โ€œlawlessnessโ€ (anomia) will be rejected. This includes teaching that the Sabbath is no longer required.
  10. By aligning with Sunday worship (a Roman invention), modern Christianity has embraced the mark of the beast system โ€” a counterfeit day that defies Yahuahโ€™s commandments and aligns with man-made religious authority.
