Introduction

The Name of the Messiah is not a cultural adaptation, denominational invention, or phonetic suggestion—it is a covenant command. It is the Name by which Yahuah ordained salvation, embedded His own identity, and sent forth redemption. Yahusha (יהושע) is that Name, and no substitute will do. The time of ignorance has passed; the time of bold restoration has come. The religious systems of this age have traded the Name for Greek confusion, Roman blasphemy, and Aramaic abbreviation—but the remnant must not. The Name Yahusha is a declaration of who He is, what He came to do, and whose authority He carries.

Mattithyahu 1:21 is not symbolic: “You shall call His Name Yahusha, for He shall save His people from their sins.” The Name must mean “Yahuah saves.” No other spelling, form, or adaptation fulfills that prophecy. Every false name—Jesus, Yeshua, Yahushua—removes or corrupts the covenant core. Yahusha is not one option among many. It is the only Name that bears the Father’s identity and carries the prophetic mission of salvation.

Section 1: Yahusha Is the Fulfillment of the Prophetic Name

“And she shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His Name יהושע (Yahusha), for He shall save His people from their sins.” — Mattithyahu (Matthew) 1:21 (TS2009)

Hebrew & Greek Roots
• Yahu (יהו) — Short form of יהוה (Yahuah), the Name of the Father.
• Shua (שׁוּעַ) — “To save, to deliver, to rescue.”

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture
• Yod (𐤉) = hand
• Heh (𐤄) = behold/reveal
• Waw (𐤅) = nail/secure
• Shin (𐤔) = consume
• Ayin (𐤏) = eye/understand
→ “Behold the nailed Hand who sees and destroys chaos.” The prophetic image confirms Yahusha as the Redeemer sent by Yahuah.

Teaching
The angel did not merely give a name—he gave the divine mission. In Hebrew, Yahusha literally means “Yahuah saves.” No Greek transliteration or Aramaic contraction can retain that meaning. The name Jesus carries no Hebraic structure. Yeshua omits the Father’s Name. Yahushua adds a letter never seen in Torah. Only Yahusha fulfills the divine requirement: it proclaims the covenant identity and saving purpose in a single, unified declaration.

Prophetic Insights
• If His Name does not mean “Yahuah saves,” it is not the Name of the Messiah.
• Yahusha is not symbolic—it is the embodiment of the Word, the covenant, and the promise.

Torah & Prophets Connection
Yeshayahu 52:6 says, “Therefore My people shall know My Name.” Mal’aki 3:16 says a book of remembrance was written for those who “feared Yahuah and thought upon His Name.” These prophecies are not generic—they are restored through Yahusha.

Section 2: The Torah Establishes Yahusha as the Original Name

“And Mosheh called Hoshĕa the son of Nun, Yahusha.” — Bemidbar (Numbers) 13:16 (TS2009)

Hebrew & Greek Roots
• Hoshea (הוֹשֵׁעַ) — “Salvation.”
• Yahusha (יהושע) — “Yahuah saves,” as renamed by Mosheh.

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture
• Heh (𐤄) = behold
• Shin (𐤔) = consume
• Ayin (𐤏) = see
→ “Behold the One who sees and destroys.” Yahusha’s Name points to His victorious mission.

Teaching
When Mosheh prophetically renamed Hoshea, he didn’t make a stylistic choice—he was declaring a prophetic foreshadowing of the Messiah. Yahusha son of Nun would lead Yisra’ĕl into the Promised Land; Yahusha Ha’Mashiach leads the remnant into eternal covenant. The Name appears over 200 times throughout Scripture and always in reference to divine leadership and deliverance. No alternate spelling appears in the Torah.

Prophetic Insights
• Yahusha’s Name is not new—it is ancient, covenantal, and established by Mosheh.
• Every later form is either an abbreviation or a deviation.

Torah & Prophets Connection
The first leader to bring Yisra’ĕl into the Promised Land bore the Name Yahusha. The final Redeemer does the same. This is not literary coincidence—it is divine pattern.

Section 3: The Dangers of Yeshua, Yahushua, and Other Alterations

“You shall not bring the Name of יהוה your Elohim to naught…” — Shemoth (Exodus) 20:7 (TS2009)

Hebrew & Greek Roots
• Yeshua (ישוע) — Post-exilic abbreviation meaning “He saves.”
• Yahushua (יהושוע) — Aramaic-influenced spelling with an extra waw (ו).
• Shav (שָׁוְא) — “Vain, false, worthless, empty.”

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture
Yeshua lacks the יהו prefix, removing the Father’s Name and prophetic mission. Yahushua distorts the original by inserting an extra consonant not found in the Torah.

Teaching
After the Babylonian exile, scribes and priests began abbreviating the Name out of fear, reverence, or confusion. Yeshua appears ~30 times in late books (Ezra, Neḥemyah) but never in the Torah. Yahushua appears 2–3 times and reflects a dialectical distortion. These forms fail to meet the standard of Mattithyahu 1:21, which requires the Name to proclaim both the source (Yahuah) and the mission (to save). They bring the Name to naught.

Prophetic Insights
• A shortened name means a shortened truth.
• The Name must bear the identity of the Father and the purpose of the Son—Yahusha alone does this.

Torah & Prophets Connection
Mishlĕ 30:4 asks: “What is His Name, and what is His Son’s Name, if you know?” The answer cannot be separated, shortened, or corrupted.

Section 4: “Jesus” Is a Greek Substitute with No Covenant Authority

“I have come in My Father’s Name, and you do not receive Me…” — Yoḥanan (John) 5:43 (TS2009)

Hebrew & Greek Roots
• Iēsous (Ἰησοῦς) — Greek transliteration of Yahusha, unrelated to Hebrew origin.
• Jesus — English form developed from Latin “Iesus,” post-1600s with no “J” in ancient language.

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture
The name “Jesus” carries no Paleo-Hebrew structure or covenant identity. It neither speaks of Yahuah nor contains His authority.

Teaching
The name “Jesus” originated from the Greek language and Roman religious system. It strips the Name of both its Hebraic form and divine meaning. There is no power, prophecy, or covenant in “Jesus”—only confusion and tradition. Ma’asei 4:12 declares that no other Name brings salvation. Yahusha means “Yahuah saves.” Jesus does not.

Prophetic Insights
• You cannot claim the covenant while denying the Name.
• The Name is not Greek—it is eternal, Hebraic, prophetic, and pure.

Torah & Prophets Connection
Tehillim 91:14—“Because he knows My Name, I shall deliver him.” The name Jesus does not qualify. The remnant must return to the Name that delivers.

Prophetic Application

The restoration of the Name Yahusha is not a fad—it is a fulfillment. The confusion of Babel, the deception of Rome, and the fear of post-exilic scribes have all contributed to the distortion of the greatest Name ever given. But in these last days, Yahuah is restoring clarity, purity, and power to His people. Yahusha is the Name that bears the Father’s identity and declares the covenant promise. It is the Name written on the hearts of the 144,000, and it is the Name every knee will bow to. Reject the false names. Return to the true Name. Proclaim it boldly. Yahusha is the only Name that saves.

Summary

This teaching has exposed the falsehood of transliterated and abbreviated names such as Jesus, Yeshua, and Yahushua, and affirmed Yahusha (יהושע) as the only Name that fulfills the prophetic, covenant requirement: “Yahuah saves.” Through Torah, prophetic foreshadowing, Hebraic word roots, Paleo-Hebrew structure, and the witness of Scripture, it is undeniably clear that Yahusha is the Name above all names. The remnant must rise and proclaim it without fear or compromise.

Reflection / Discussion Questions

  1. What is the full covenant meaning of the Name Yahusha?
  2. How does Bemidbar 13:16 prophetically establish the Messiah’s Name?
  3. Why are names like “Yeshua” and “Yahushua” considered post-exilic distortions?
  4. What does it mean to “bring His Name to naught,” and how does that apply today?
  5. Why is “Jesus” not the same as Yahusha, and what are the implications?
  6. How does the restoration of the true Name align with the remnant’s end-time calling?
  7. What steps will you take to reject mixture and boldly proclaim Yahusha?

Answers to the Reflection / Discussion Questions

  1. Yahusha means “Yahuah saves”—the Name combines the identity of the Father (Yahu) with the mission (shua, to save).
  2. Mosheh renames Hoshea to Yahusha in Numbers 13:16, declaring the Name that would prophetically lead Yisra’ĕl into covenant victory.
  3. They lack the consistency of Torah, appear only in post-exilic writings, and do not bear the full Name of Yahuah.
  4. To bring His Name to naught means to strip it of meaning, replace it, or reduce it. Using false names does exactly that.
  5. Jesus is a Greek-based name with no Hebrew or covenant root—it fails to declare Yahuah and violates the structure of the true Name.
  6. Revelation 14:1 shows the Father’s Name on the foreheads of the sealed remnant—restoration of the Name is essential for end-time identity.
  7. Reject religious traditions, study the Hebrew text, speak and write the true Name, teach others, and stand firm in Yahusha alone.
