Introduction

The remnant is not called to reform Babylon. We are commanded to come out of her. We are not instructed to blend light with darkness or attach Messiah’s Name to man-made traditions. We are warned to flee from mixture, deception, and compromiseβ€”because they defile worship, dilute truth, and destroy identity.

This is not just about dates and decorations. It is about allegiance. December 25, and all traditions connected to it, represent a counterfeit calendar and a counterfeit worship system rooted in Rome, not in Torah. The remnant must stop defending what Yahuah never commanded and start walking in what He established: the moedimβ€”the appointed times of Yahuah. These are the true celebrations of the redeemed. These are the signs of covenant.

This post will declare the mandate of separation. It will expose how tradition nullifies the command of Yahuah. And it will call the remnant back to the rhythm of righteousnessβ€”the times, seasons, and worship patterns that Yahusha walked in. You were not redeemed to remain in religious slavery. You were set free to walk in covenant truth.

Section 1: The Command to Separate β€” Come Out of Her, My People

β€œCome out from among them and be separate, says Yahuah, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you.” β€” 2 Qorin’tiyim (2 Corinthians) 6:17

Hebrew & Greek Roots
β€’ Badal (Χ‘ΦΈΦΌΧ“Φ·Χœ) β€” β€œTo separate, distinguish, divide for set-apart use.”
β€’ Tamei (טָמ֡א) β€” β€œUnclean, defiled, ritually polluted.”
β€’ Aphōrizō (ἀφορί΢ω) β€” β€œTo mark off by boundaries, to separate or set apart.”

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture
β€’ Bet (𐀁) = house
β€’ Dalet (𐀃) = door
β€’ Lamed (𐀋) = shepherd
β†’ β€œThe door of the house is led by the shepherd.” The shepherd determines what entersβ€”and what must be removed.

Teaching
Yahuah’s people were never meant to walk according to the patterns of the nations. Covenant is not just a beliefβ€”it is a separation. The early believers were called the Way because their life was radically distinct from the culture around them. They followed Yahusha, who followed Torah. They kept the moedimβ€”not man-made feasts. They were persecuted for not bowing to Caesar, not blending into Rome.

Yet today, many who claim the Name of Yahusha still follow the Roman calendar. They still hold to the traditions that were birthed in mixture. They still participate in worship systems that deny Torah. Yahuah’s command is clear: come out. Come out from false dates. Come out from counterfeit worship. Come out from traditions that profane His Name.

Prophetic Insights
β€’ You cannot walk in covenant while clinging to compromise.
β€’ Separation is not optionalβ€”it is proof of true worship.

Torah & Prophets Connection
DeαΈ‡arim 30 prophesies that in the last days, when the remnant remembers and returns to Torah, Yahuah will gather and restore. But restoration cannot happen without separation. There is no revival without removal.

Section 2: The Traditions of Men Make Void the Word

β€œHer priests have done violence to My Torah and they profane My set-apart matters. They have not distinguished between the set-apart and the profane.” β€” YeαΈ₯ezqΔ•l (Ezekiel) 22:26

Hebrew & Greek Roots
β€’ αΈ€alal (Χ—ΦΈΧœΦ·Χœ) β€” β€œTo profane, defile, treat as common.”
β€’ Torah (ΧͺΦΌΧ•ΦΉΧ¨ΦΈΧ”) β€” β€œInstruction, law, covenant teaching.”
β€’ Paradosis (παράδοσις) β€” β€œTradition,” specifically human traditions passed down outside the authority of Torah.

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture
β€’ Taw (𐀕) = covenant
β€’ Waw (𐀅) = nail
β€’ Resh (𐀓) = head
β†’ β€œThe covenant secures the head.” When tradition removes Torah, the head is detached from the covenant.

Teaching
Yahusha warned that the traditions of men nullify the Word of Elohim (Mattithyahu 15:6). He was not rebuking Torahβ€”He was rebuking religious additions that led people away from Torah. Today, the Christian celebration of Christmas is the ultimate fulfillment of that warning. It replaces the moedim of Yahuah with the holidays of Rome. It replaces truth with tradition. It replaces covenant with compromise.

Many say, β€œIt doesn’t matter when He was born, as long as we celebrate Him.” But Yahuah never said we could invent our own holy days. He gave us His. To reject His times and substitute our own is to violate the very foundation of worship. It is profaning what is set-apart.

Prophetic Insights
β€’ If it’s not in Torah, it’s not holy.
β€’ Every tradition not rooted in Torah is a branch bearing strange fruit.

Torah & Prophets Connection
Wayyiqra 23 begins with a command: β€œThese are the appointed times of Yahuah, which you are to proclaim as set-apart gatherings.” The calendar has already been given. No manβ€”no systemβ€”has the authority to change it.

Section 3: Return to the Moedim β€” The Appointed Times of Yahuah

β€œSpeak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, β€˜The appointed times of Yahuah, which you are to proclaim as set-apart gatherings, My appointed times, are these.’” β€” Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:2

Hebrew & Greek Roots
β€’ Moed (ΧžΧ•ΦΉΧ’Φ΅Χ“) β€” β€œAppointed time, divine rehearsal, sacred assembly.”
β€’ Qodesh (קֹד֢שׁ) β€” β€œSet-apart, holy, distinct from the profane.”
β€’ Kairos (ΞΊΞ±ΞΉΟΟŒΟ‚) β€” β€œAppointed time, season established by Elohim.”

Paleo-Hebrew Word Picture
β€’ Mem (𐀌) = water
β€’ Ayin (𐀏) = eye
β€’ Dalet (𐀃) = door
β†’ β€œThe eye sees the door of the water.” The moedim are the doorway to the refreshing of the covenant.

Teaching
Yahuah did not leave His people without a calendar. He gave us His times, His seasons, His appointed festivals. From Pesach (Passover) to Sukkot (Tabernacles), each moed is a rehearsal of redemption, a declaration of covenant, and a prophecy of what is to come. Yahusha fulfilled the spring moedim in His first coming, and He will fulfill the fall moedim in His return.

Rejecting the Roman calendar is not enoughβ€”we must return to Yahuah’s. The moedim are not Jewishβ€”they are Yahuah’s. They are the foundation of set-apart worship. The remnant does not just reject false traditionsβ€”they realign with divine appointments. You were not called to remember a false date. You were called to proclaim the feasts of Yahuah.

Prophetic Insights
β€’ The remnant will not celebrate the feast days of Romeβ€”they will keep the moedim of Yahuah.
β€’ The calendar you follow reveals the kingdom you serve.

Torah & Prophets Connection
Ezra 6:21 reveals that when the exiles returned, they cleansed themselves and kept the Passover according to the command. Restoration begins with returning to the times Yahuah declaredβ€”not the times Rome invented.

Prophetic Application

This is the line in the sand. The remnant must make a full break with the traditions of Rome. We are not called to honor a false birthday. We are not called to keep the festivals of the beast. We are called to return to Torah, to proclaim the appointed times of Yahuah, and to prepare for the return of Yahusha by walking in covenant alignment. The time for excuses is over. Come out of her, My people. Tear down the altars of mixture. Reject the calendar of confusion. Keep the moedim. Walk in the ancient paths. The Bride is making herself ready.

Blog Summary

This blog post declared the covenant call to come out of Babylon and reject Rome’s counterfeit calendar. It revealed that Yahuah’s appointed timesβ€”not December 25β€”are the true markers of covenant identity. The remnant must return to Torah, keep the moedim, and walk in the calendar Yahusha followed. Separation is not a suggestionβ€”it is the sign of the set-apart.

Reflection / Discussion Questions

  1. What does 2 Corinthians 6:17 teach about the requirement to separate from the world’s traditions?
  2. How do traditions of men nullify the Word of Yahuah, according to Yahusha’s own words?
  3. What are the moedim, and why are they essential to covenant worship?
  4. Why is December 25 a violation of Torah, not a fulfillment of it?
  5. What does it mean to be set-apart in how we worship and when we worship?
  6. In what ways must we return to Yahuah’s appointed times to walk in His rhythm?
  7. How will you reject the calendar of Rome and align your life with Yahuah’s Word?
