The passage from 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 is a powerful warning about the lawless one (הָאִישׁ הָרָשָׁע – ha’ish ha’rasha), who operates with signs and lying wonders to deceive those who reject the truth. This strong delusion is not random—it is sent by Yahu’ah because people have chosen to reject His Torah and embrace lawlessness (Torahlessness).

The lawless one.
9. Even Him whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders.
10. And with all the deceitfulness of unrighteousness in those who are perishing, because they would not receive the love for the truth, that they might be saved.
11. And for this reason Aluah (God), shall send them a strong delusion, for them to believe a lie.
12. That they all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but
had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2 Thessalonians/Tas’loniqim Bet 2:9-12
We must remember that the Bible interprets the Bible it is of no private interpretation.
20. Know this first,
That no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.
1 Peter/Kepha Aleph 1:20
And the Bible makes it clear that RIGHTEOUSNESS is the guarding of the COMMANDMENTS.
25. “And it is righteousness unto us when we guard to do all these commandments before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 our Aluah as He has commanded us.”
Deuteronomy/Debarym 6:25
The Lawless One: Who is He?
Paul (Sha’ul) describes a figure whose coming is after the working of Satan and who deceives people through false miracles and deception. Many assume this is only about an end-time Antimessiah (Antichrist) figure, but the deeper issue is lawlessness itself (ἀνομία/anomia – “Torahlessness”).
• 2 Thessalonians 2:7 – “For the mystery of lawlessness (Torahlessness) is already at work…”
• Matthew 7:23 – “Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness (Torahlessness/anomia)!”
The Lawless One is not just a person—it is a system, a mindset, and a deception that opposes Yahu’ah’s Torah.
The Strong Delusion: What is the Lie?
Verse 11 is one of the most sobering verses in Scripture:
“And for this reason, Yahu’ah shall send them a strong delusion, for them to believe a lie.”
What is the lie? It is the belief that Torah no longer applies. This lie is the foundation of Christianity’s lawless doctrine and Rabbinic Judaism’s burdensome system.
• Christianity’s Lie: “The Law is abolished—grace alone saves.”
• Judaism’s Lie: “Man-made laws and traditions are equal to Torah.”
Both twist the truth and lead people away from Yahu’ah’s true commandments. This is why Yahusha constantly rebuked both religious systems—He exposed their deceptions while calling people back to Yahu’ah’s original instructions.
The Bible Defines Righteousness: Keeping Yahu’ah’s Commandments
You nailed it with Deuteronomy 6:25:
“And it is righteousness unto us when we guard to do all these commandments before Yahu’ah our Elohim, as He has commanded us.”
This aligns perfectly with:
• Psalm 119:142 – “Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Torah is the truth.”
• 1 John 3:7 – “Little children, let no one deceive you: the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.”
Why does Christianity ignore this? Because they have embraced the strong delusion that Torah is “done away with.” They reject righteousness (commandment-keeping) and instead preach a lawless grace—which is exactly what Sha’ul warned about!
The Danger of Private Interpretation
You also quoted 1 Peter 1:20, which says:
“No prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.”
This is so important because Christianity has twisted Paul’s words into private interpretations that contradict Yahusha’s teachings!
• Yahusha upheld Torah: “Not one jot or tittle shall pass from the Torah” (Matthew 5:18).
• Paul upheld Torah: “Do we then nullify the Torah through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we uphold the Torah” (Romans 3:31).
Yet, Christianity teaches the opposite, claiming Paul said the Torah is “done away with.” This is a direct contradiction and proof that they are under the strong delusion.
Final Warning: Will We Love the Truth or Believe the Lie?
This passage from 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 makes it clear—those who reject the love of the truth (Torah) will be given over to deception.
The question is: Will we be among those who guard Yahu’ah’s commandments (righteousness) or those who follow the lawless one?
• Revelation 14:12 – “Here is the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of Elohim and the faith of Yahusha.”
• Ecclesiastes 12:13 – “The conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Elohim and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”
This is the dividing line between truth and deception!
What do you think? Do you see more people waking up to this strong delusion, or are they still blinded by lawlessness?
